Is it okay to smoke weed with slight bud rot?

Yesterday I posted a thread and some of u were saying that my plant might have bud rot. There are some small spots on top of the nugs that are black and crusty but most of the nug seems fine. Should I just cut off the parts that look bad? Can I still cure it and smoke it?8EDF87DF-4EE5-407E-AA85-28522D7A26D2.jpegA5D6EE17-86B4-4306-B448-2E6BD3E01E30.jpeg6AE40811-BCC7-4E63-AF57-CBBAC24FEC94.jpegBC2809DE-CBD0-45AD-A665-A6CB8199AD4B.jpeg

It’s not advisable. I’ve been faced with this same dilemma with bud rot. I thought about cleaning all the rot off the bud and sampling what I could salvage. I erred on the side of safety and begrudgingly tossed the bud in the bonfire. At least I got to burn it.

Check it's actually rot first before tossing it out! Tear open the bud where those dead yellow bud leaves are. You need to see inside (you can actually do this on the plant too, before chopping the whole cola, if you aren't sure)

If you have budrot you'll most likely see it at the base of those crispy leaves, at the centre of the bud....

About smoking it if it is bud rot....Well, a few years ago I had a big top bud which got bud rot.....I caught it really early, cut it down and cut out the small bad part at the centre....(There are pics of it in my Lemon OG Kush grow journal)

I then dried it separately from everything else. It smoked great, and I'm still alive.
