Is It Possible to Yeild a pound with a 600 hps in soil? If so explain what things would be needed to accomplish this goal.

Yeah I can imagine it doesn't happen often considering iv'e read and seen dozens of 600 watt grows and none of them yeilded a pound. Do you know any of th specifics besides co2 supplements. I will be trying this and try to do it consistently. I'm thinking Scrog?

Lot go for the quick turn around and move on to the nerx flavor.Takes more time to pull the weight. Veg longer. witch keeps plant alive longer and ups the chance of lock out, root bound etc

It shouldn't be too hard it would be less than a gram per watt it's like 3/4s of a gram per watt. That shouldn't be too hard right?

SOG generally yields the best. a 600w light can cover a 4x4 area. 16 1x1 plants @ 1oz/plant will reach your goal.

Depends on a lot of things.. plus you said "constintally" which is more likely not going to happen your first year growing. I'm still in my first year (almost at the 1 year mark :) and I can't be completly consistant with my grows. I run a 600w btw. And yes you are going to need to veg longer... atleast 60 days and "maybe" you'll come close using scrog.. scrogs more of a small area "maxer"

you for sure can you must veg ur plants big enough the most important thing is U HAVE TO TRELLIS UR PLANTS TO MAXIMIZE UR LIGHT PENITRATION more bud sites getting good light = MORE BUD

I was planning to use 600 HPS when I got to the Flowering Stage Of My grow. Currently I have a T5 light set-up with my babies in the veg stage but the they seem to be Very Leggy. Why? Any answers to if I should use 600 watt HPS bulb when I get to flowering or not because I was also sooting for A lb on my return.

When I started my grow this year I could see all over the internet people claiming 1g/watt with LEDs, or 1g/watt doing scrog under hps, .. my hopes were high! Were all those claims lies!? is it really next to impossible to grow 1lbs out of say 2 x 400W HPS or 1 x 600WHPS? Thanks

600 watts is probably possible for some expert growers depending on strain.... You would have better luck with 1000 watts trying to get a lb... The foot print for 600 watt hps is what makes it very hard for a lb yeild... If you have a 600 watt hps, Id suggest adding a 400 watt hps, This will greatly increase your yeild....Ive grown 4 plants under a 400 and a 600 hps, vegged for 5 1/2 weeks with ff's soil and nutes in 5 gallon buckets topped for 2 to 3 colas and yeilded 17 oz,s.......Good luck with your endeavors :)

Don't listen to those stating a gram per watt... Those are super high expectations and only the best of the best can reach those numbers.... 1/2 gram per watt however is very realistic and what a novice grower should expect under great growing conditions...

you can hit 1lb without CO2...

That's not even 1g/watt.

Look up Heath Robinson. He yields like 1.5 gpw on a regular basis.

You need to utilize all of your light. Get good ventilation. Don't go crazy with too many additives/burn your plants.

will find out what i can pull off 12 bulb t5 veg and hammering em with a 600. on next run. Going to veg for 8 weeks and then it will be on after I pull a second runs worth of clons off

If 1/2 seems to be average then 3/4 gram per watt seems like it could be doable. and I know I would have better chances with the 1000w my concern is just heat and from what I hear those put off mega heat. Also a 600 is supposed to be the most effective and efficient.
