MG soil can grow plants fine, but it tends to have hot spots and those can and will wreak havoc on some of the leaves of young plants. The more you water the soil the more fertilizer is released so make sure you don't over water. water only when the plant starts to wilt until you know how much its using and can reliably time the watering. Once the plant is a couple feet high and has a bunch of growth it should cope with the Soil fine. After a couple months if everything is looking good you can start giving it more fertilizer, start at 1/4 the amount recommended by the manufacturer and go up from there. Fertilize once every 3rd or fourth watering. Potting soil does not normally have chemical nutrients in it, and would probably have been a better choice for a starting plant, its up to you if you want to transplant, its not a hard thing to do.I started my seed in miracle grow it seems to be growing well but i have heard or nut burn should i transplant it in some diffrent soil? one more question should i use fertilizer or potting soil im a noob i know
