Is Monstercropping really beneficial?

Im using that term loosly being as the term "Monstercropping" seems to mean different things.
Im wondering about -Cloning while in flower. All opionions please but i know this topic gets touchy with people lol. So we know we are trying to create a branching beast here as far from what ive seen. Ive done a few reveg after harvest and they were overloaded with branching.

But... Comparing to my usual cloning of which i now get about 90-100% sucess rate depending. And about 7-10 to pop roots and go into cups.
Currently:

Cut on 03-19

By 03-26
0326171940a.jpg 5 had bit the dust already

Today 04-03
0403172220.jpg 2 popped roots and went to cups, 2 more look like gonners. Others might pop soon.

So I might end up 05/13 sucess, and 2 weeks(15 days) already without showing signs of even reverting back to veg mode.

So is there actually enough branching in veg to compensate for the long start time? I mean I cant even see the single leaf blade yet forming. Id say another week maybe two for it to start a normal veg ptocess again. That means overall to clone takes a Month+.

I like to take clones 10-14 days into flower. I take cuts from the bottom of the plant. You can take them later in flower (all the way to harvest) but it gets trickier. The stems usually hardened up and get woody as they age in flower. The clone is full of flowering hormones. Veg lighting will revert this but it takes longer than regular veg cloning. They will look funny for awhile. Is it worth it? Yes. learning to clone in flower is a useful skill. It may save your favorite pheno one day. Some plants produces only a few shoots. I have a monster topped clone that has 30 to 40 shoots that can become flowering tops. I like to think of the bud as whorl or cluster that becomes unwrapped and they becomes growing tips.

It seems to take me twice as long to make clones when they are flowering vs veg. My success rate is similar (aerocloner type) but, the delay just doesn't seem to be worth it. If you are going to grow big bushes, it would definitely be worth it! I am scrog'n my clones and flowering before they get too big.

I mainly scrog grow as well. I train and top top top lol. However...
I am thinking of switching styles and going single cola grows. I top so much i get a big yeild however smaller buds of course. I have a frw neglected plants in flower with really nice colas on them. I miss those lol. Just seems easier to clone 30 plants and dont train but cut side branches off to get a good single main. Rather than train the shit out of 6 plants in the same space. But I never ran a single cola grow. Truthfully im kinda over the screen all together. I want to pull my plants out and move them around lmao :bigjoint:

Im not sure if people just dont have access to clones or have trouble cloning. But with a few mothers, the number of plants shouldnt be an issues small indoor set ups.

Untrained? Thats about what I pictured. Nice looking plant there. How many weeks/months you been vegged in that pic?

Question...

On these fresh transplants, so i trim the lower nodes and work with just the top growth. Or keep whats there at the budsites:

Also new growth is there but looks as if its sugar leaf. Not the mutated serrated single leaf. Ive never shot new growth thats not the serrated single leaf, before the single appears. I am currently on 20/4 lighting:

some of us are limited by state law to only a few plants. cloning is not an option if you can only grow 6 plants.

Im pretty good at respecting the laws and am licensed for what I do, however I cant say I wouldnt get a big slap on the wrists for some things.

I think it is about 3 months from taking a clone. It is a multi branched beastie. Some minimal training to keep it from growing to tall.

I've harvested two monsters, and have one more in 2nd week of flower right now. Getting ready to chop my first re-veg. Honestly, I don't think I will ever do it again. The monsters took three months to root and veg, and although they have fuck tons of shoots and bud sites just like the reveg they are stupid tiny. Just a pain in the ass. But I'm growing in a couple tents, so maybe you guys have better luck with your monsters in a larger space? Tiny buds are a pain in the ass IMHO.

I know what you mean. Had a buddy call me yesterday to help trim a few. He had some revegged Pulling about 4.5oz. About 1-2 g buds i swear. But Hundreds lol. Took me like 4-5hours a tree. He said come back this weekend for the rest and I said a Big HELL NO, YOUR ON YOUR OWN WITH THESE.

The second they went into cups they took off. Wheres the funky growth? The serrated single leaf? Wheres the time waiting to reveg? Whats going on! Lmao

It's no good. It just makes a bunch of scruffy little deformed branches bunched way too closely together. You have to take most of them off. Cloning from flowering plants is a last resort to me. Maybe within the first 2 weeks but after that just too much trouble.
