Is my exhaust set up properly? [pics]

Hey, I set up my exhaust duct with a 4" inline fan duct taped at the end and I taped around it many times to keep it attached and try to keep the suction within the duct.

Any feedback? Did I do this right? Is it going to ventilate a 3'x2.5' ft closet 6.5' tall?

any fan will circulate the air in any room, the question is how quickly. for your closet, thats plenty.

did you do it right...... well, does it run? does air go in one end and come out the other?

Well then why does the temperature continue to stay so high? I thought exhaust was to keep temperature down as well as circulation

first of all, get yourself some foil tape for HVAC, that stuff is 10 times better then duct tape. Second, exhausting air does help with the temperature, but your intake air has to atleast be somewhat cooler then what your exhausting from.

what size is your room?
What size lights are you using?
Are the lights air cooled?

That tape is made to withstand heat and cold, so it wont loose its adhesiveness like duct tape will over time. plus you can get a better seal with the foil tape.
i would say just make sure that your intake is big enough, but not to big as to take away negative pressure. Alot of times if your intake is too small you dont enough of that cool air in there to make a difference.

what are your temps in the closet?

what are your temps in the closet?
They've been between 75 and 85 degrees. Humidity I've been trying to keep around 50% by spraying a spray bottle into the oscilating fan, since I dont want to buy a humidifier.

I have no installed the intake yet but I have another duct and 4" inline fan, same setup as the exhaust, what do you think? I may need to get a better seal on the exhaust because it does not really seem to be sucking much air out when I put my hand over the open hole of the duct inside the closet.

yea what are your temp. in the closed and out side ..

make sure out take is as high in the room as possible as hot air moves up .. and intake near the floor (remember how could your feet can be near the floor at night)

if you etc have high temps out side .. ventilation wont do much .. tho it will still provide fresh air and co2 for your plants .. that is VERY importent in a small closed .. and with a filter on it you can also get rid of all odour (guess you will get it in time ;)) make sure you got a littel bit of under presure in the closed .. so all air that gets out will pass through the filter ..

if you have more then 80ish inside and same out side you need some air from the out side or a AC for the intake ..

I runn a 4" tube with a small ventilation to help pull air in from a passiv intake over my window .. and to my intake .. that way I get fresh air directly from the outside .. witch is mostly a few Celsius lower then my appartment .. and is fresh so I dont have to keep windows open all the time .. works for me ..

p.s.

dont worry to much about humidity .. unless it gets in to the extrem .. below 30% in veg or over 60% in flowering .. I have had between 35 and 45% most grow and they seems to do just fine .. might need to water a bit more if you keep 35-40% but thats about it .. seedlings do need a bit highr tho .. to realy do good and grow up fast ..
