Pulled the trigger on sf1000 last night so i can switch out my ts600. I hope between a sf1000 & my ts1000 it'll grow decent weed in my 32x32x64 tent. Figure i can use the 600 for a small veg tent.

Keep us posted on the 1000 please. I have the 2000 but thinking of adding on.

Will do,if my calculations are correct (probably not) my tent (32"x32"x64") is around 65 sqaure feet so im trying to figure my watt/sq ft between a sf1000 & ts1000 working together.... I suck at math lol.
Thanks :)

Cool avatar you have too. I wish I had got a tent of the size you referred to. I’ve got a 2 wide by 4 long.

No... A 3x3' tent needs 300-350watts. That light is what... 150?

Well im still trying but i think the tent is to small for all three lights up top so,maybe on the side for lower buds? My three Blueberry x Cherry wine's are diggin the sf. Shoulda got a 4000 and called it a day!

So let's talk black dog and why they are considered one of the top light brands. First off it's a commerical light designed to be hung high above the plants. At 10 feet away it still produces about 500 umol of light. That's over 30 daily light intervals. At 36 in it at about 900 umol. It does this evenly across a 6.5× 6.5 foot print from edge to edge. Again no other light does this. Independent spectrometer test have proven this. Also black dog come with a limited lifetime warranty. No other light company does that. Also black dog uses 5 watt cree and Osman diodes not the cheap 3watt Chinese diodes. And last but certain not least is the fact it has UVA spectrum and infrared. While mars hydro and a few other cover infrared none I know of have sufficient amounts of uv if any. Uva is directly related to increases in thc and cannabinoid production. So though the efficacy of the light isnt the best it doesnt matter because you will make up for the lower efficiency because you will get a bigger yield that is more potent the mars hydro , spider farm gativa and so on

wait, lets take their most expensive recent model.
FootprintArea
(feet)
Average PPFD*
(μMol/m2/s)
Hanging Height
(in)
Max. Recommended Vegetative8 x 823257
Max. Recommended Flower6.5 x 6.535247
Medium Recommended Flower**5 x 559636
Smallest Recommended Flower**4 x 493029
in a 6.5x.6.5 you get only 352ppfd on average, not much.

for the 2 grand they dont even offer 730nm/IR, pretty much nothing at 730nm.

yes they do offer a little UVA, nothing you couldnt have for far far less money with a better overall light output and beeing more recent tech.
that light is scam.

So black dog does have ir and uv. At the same levels as all the rest that produce that spectrum. Being its 1050 true wants it has better penetration. At 30 inches in a 4x4 900. The other lights make this at about 12 and 18inches.
So the light isnt a bad light man . You could argue it is two expensive and I would have to say yes it isnt cheap but to say it's a scam light I would have to disagree. Reason being I have 2 mars hydro tsw 1000 and 1 ts 3000 in a 4 x6 space. That a total of 1050 watts. I get about 3 to 5 ounces a plant. In the same space with the black dog 1000 I'm getting about 8 ounces a plant in same room that's more dense and smokes better. It did put out a little more heat but didnt make much difference cuz I have an a.c in the place. So for me the extra money was worth the extra weed I grow. 6 plants and extra 3 ounce each is 18 ounces with paid for my light at street value prices for an ounce

You can get that same penetration with high powered diodes using six HLG QB96's @ the same wattage as Black Dog for less than half the cost (around $850 all done, plus an hour to put them together). The only thing you'd be missing is UV and FarRed, but honestly I don't even want those on my main light. I want those separate so I can do end of day far red treatment for flower induction, and UV bursts mid day, instead of continuous. Also UV LED is known to burn out quick, and since you can't see it, how will you know? T5 UV tubes FTW.

Ok so the hlg you talking about are 138 watts a piece it would take 8 to total the wattage of a black dog. At 10 inches the average par is 700. The average par of black dog at at 30 inches is 900. At 10 inches it goes up around 3500 it doesnt have uv and I dont think it has infrared. These radiations have other profound effects on plants other then finishing them up and flower induction. They cause chemical reactions that make the plant absorb more carbondioxide and help produce more chlorophyll thought the life if the plant. Black dog uses uva light with doesnt harm plants as does uvb and UVc. And since we talking about expensive commerical lights hell any grow lights I would think there would be a spectrometer purchased to not only measure the amount and intensity of the light being used but also the type of light being used. Apogee makes one the would tell you if your uv diodes were bad in with case blackdog has a lifetime warranty so if your diodes failed they would replace them. Name me one commerical grow facility used diy equipment to grow weed over branded reputable equipment. Fact of the matter is black is expensive but it is worth it when it come to return on investment
