is this a good UFO LED ?

Also, all the good lights I have seen give of a pink hue with the mix of reds and blues in there.
Exactly my point! What if a phosphor blend can be managed so that a single LED emits everything that a plant needs and in the correct ratio? I think Blue LED's are more efficient and cheaper to manufacture, too. Idk, we just might see some of this in the future.

I contacted this company asking for a spectrographic analysis of their Pink LED:

To me it looks very reminiscent of a Neutral White, yet it has less Green and Yellow with much more Red, Deep Red, and Far Red output. Primary peak is near 440nm-445nm, secondary peak is near 625nm-630nm. Not there quite yet, but perhaps if the phosphor layer were thicker (less Blue, more everything else) it'd be near perfect. If they used the same phosphor over 440nm and 460nm Blue chips and the phosphor was thicker you could just about mix the two colors in a 1:1 ratio and be off.

Sorry, OP, don't mean to thread crap... Hey, where is the OP, anyway? Lol, he's not even here.

With proper spectrum I am a 100% believer in LED you don't have to convince me. Again for 1 or 2 plants that will get it there. Your plant looks nice good going. I'm excited to see the end result.
i agree ..ufo's cover one or 2 plants at most....i also know you can harvest more than just popcorn buds with them :)

You are right about that, the UFOs cover 2 plants at the VERY most. Their lights are efficient but do not cover more than about 18-20 inches at about a foot above the plant. I thought it would be a little wider light, which has put me in a jam.. I bought this LED because I thought I was going to replace my HPS with it. Now I may just keep both on....

Do any of you guys know/have any thoughts on whether it is ok for plants to be under LED one day then HPS the next. 4 plants in 3 gal pots... I am running a 135W UFO and a 400W HPS. Will it stress the plants if I rotate between the two? I just started doing this 3 days ago, on about day 10 of the little ladies' above ground lives.

Any thoughts would be appreciated!
