Is this good stuff?

hey I was just wondering if there's any way to tell if your plant is of good quality/genetics while it's still in veg?

At the end of the day it comes down to genetics, but even the worst bagseed can pack a good buzz if grown with care.

good genetics = yield + potency + ease of growth

so you're basically saying no, but if I grow it well enough it will pack a good punch anyways?

The problem with bagseed is that you will never know what you will actually end up with. I have grown a few seeds from righteous bags in the past and ended up with great smoke. My friend grew some seeds from a bag of Mexi brickweed that produced some good smoke as well.

Take care of the plant and see what comes of it. Was the smoke that the seed came from good?

You can tell alittle, like tight node spacing, leaf size, stem and branch size, all characteristics to determine a good plant. But wont tell you potency.

it has quite a few nodes. 2 on the main stem and 6 on each side of the Y (i tipped my plant to have two main stems). I think my buddy said he got it from a bag of real good smoke. It's already sexed it's self, too. Nice lil pistils on every node. It's a girl

there is no way to tell until you sample the herb. You cannot tell anything about the potency by looking at it.
