iS THIS THE STRAIN or a problem?

I'm pretty sure it's a bubblegum strain and this coloring (brownish/purple) has developed in the past two days on the plant closest to finishing.

Is this something this strain does? or have I possibly given her too much ferts? I'm outside, in the ground and I've alternated fresh river water and Fox farms Tiger Bloom and molasses every other watering 9about every third day). The last feefing I gave her a shot of extra N in the form of Alaska Fish fert. It's literally popped up in the past two days...I watered her good before leaving for two days..when I left she was perfect and I came back to that..It's not on the entire plant, only on the leaves that get the most sun exposure.

they look pretty good tho man, maybe hold off on the nutes next couple times see if the color comes back to normal

That's kinda what I was thinking(hoping) too.. The colas on these girls are THICK...and many. The plant isn't a monster..about 4 1/2 feet tall but it's covered with thick buds on the branches.

deff not the strain...i see the tips are burnt and curled...so yur looking at a def/overfeeding issue instead

I hope it's not over watering..cause I just watered her really well before reading your post...I'm in the ground and the soil drains fairly well..I'd say of my three plants..the one with the problem drains the best...The soil around my plants in general drains fairly well, and I dug holes 24 inches across and about 18 inches deep,and amended the soil with a mixed of rabbit and chicken shit along with my native soil, mixed it all up and filled in the holes, when I water it does pool momentarily, but always soaks in within 15-30 seconds...I planted them so there is about a 3 inch deep well for me to water into.

I did do some minor trimming and removed the crisped fan leaves....where you see discoloration, the leaves are brittle.I guess I'll be keeping a close eye on her and do some babying.

It's been very hot and dry here, I usually check the soil to see if it's dry about 1/2 inch down...

Well your leafs have the claw.

Chicken and rabbit shit is really hot for MJ plants from what I understand.

Yeah..I def have the claw.

The chicken/rabbit shit was mixed in the native soil back in May and they haVE been in that mixture since then with no problems.

I have a feeling I overdid it with the ferts last week...I added Alaska Fish Fert 5-1-1 to me Big Bloom 2-8-4 and molasses...I may have ever done the ferts in this heat we've had.

I've been watering every third day since the weather has heated up..I hope it's not overwatering,,cause I just gave her a big drink.

Thanks for the advice...It helps to get input.

Tough spot....looks like you've got 2 separate issues. Some nute burn and over-watering. The nutes have probably built-up over time in your soil. Try to let them dry out some the next 4 or 5 days then just give it plain water for a while to dilute the nute build-up in your soil.

Thanks for the help...It'll be tough not watering. It's going to be in the mid-90s this next whole week. I watered it about 3 hours ago and trimmed some of the crispy leaf edges as well as removing a few of the worst looking fan leaves...Not sure if it's my imagination or not..but it looks a little better.

I'll take more pics in the morning and share whats happening.

Yeah, I think the best thing you can do right now is to do nothing. I know how difficult that can be. Hopefully, you will have a bunch of consecutive sunny days in a row with no rain. That will take care of the "claw". Then plain water for a while to get the nute levels under control. Good luck man!!

Let your plant dry out until you see it start to droop. This will tell you if you been over watering.

That's kinda a tough one isn't it? Overfeeding I should be flushing with fresh water...Overwatering I need to let it dry out.

It's supposed to be very hot and dry for the next week or so here..mid-90's.

How should i go about this?

I would let it go dry until it starts to droop. This will tell you if you been over watering. Perhaps your hole holds water well and can go 4 to 5 days before it needs water. Let the plant tell you when it needs water. A few times letting it droop slightly will tell you how long it can go without water. Then water to what you find out. While doing this see if the leafs lose the claw.

If you think it is the heat try a sun sail/shade for a few days and see what happens.

Is your hole clay? Perhaps it wetter down there than you think. Try one of the cheap moisture meaters. See what it reads.
