Grow #2 and #3 are underway. It's nice to be around healthy green plants where absolutely nothing has gone wrong yet.

I think I'm running into the same problem as you have had again.. with my second grow... she's 2-3 weeks into flower and starting to show deficiencies.. how did you ph your water? Ie what did you use to get the ph of the water down?

Hi, Ottawa. I pH'd my water...badly! I was bringing it down before adding the nutes and neglecting to check it after that. I was using a product I got from a grow store surprisingly called, "PH DOWN". I know there are plenty of tips in the forums using household products.

On day 50 of flowering, I am , of course eager to cut my 3 indicas. Advertised times are 8-9 weeks on these. I know that is a rough guideline and it is the condition of the trichomes. My eagerness is not that I can't wait as much as being eager to finish them before they drop dead! First up is an LSD plant. A disappointing yield but a very sweet smell. Also showing the most leaf damage.

Next is the Blue Widow from a free seed. Nice looking buds, sad looking leaves, and, if the the promises were true, ready to cut in 5 days.

Finally, the Wappa. 8-9 weeks is the suggested time. Looks like some good milky happening here!

I'm guessing most people will suggest a couple of weeks. Maybe quicker with the Wappa? Love to get your feedback though.

Sometimes I'm asked if I'm checking close enough for insects. Before I became a ganja farmer, I was a pro photographer, and have the equipment to get in nice and close.

I'm getting dizzy from studying images like this, trying to read the trichomes, in order to cut at the right moment. Of course, the bong hits haven't helped either. (I am confused as to whether I just smoked a bud of White Widow or Cotton Candy.) I've been mostly looking closest at the 3 indicas, since they should go first according to the book. However, I also glanced with the mic at a couple of Chocolope sativas, and I swear I saw amber. And that's a week ahead of the book! It must be nice to have the experience of knowing where you're at at this point, even without a microscope. Anyway, I'm trying to avoid the next noob mistake of cutting early, so I'm letting them be until some amber is undeniable.

I believe that if I ran any pictures on most forums here asking if/when I'm ready to cut, the answer would be, "another couple of weeks", regardless of the picture. Because, that seems ALWAYS to be the answer!:dunce: Meanwhile, I have gone from the problem of trying to keep my basement grow tents warm enough to cool enough, overnight. And this suggests the next visitors will be representatives from the insect kingdom.

Hey Shotrocker.. I hear you on the temps.. I've switched my lights on period to at night 7 p.m. - 7 a.m. so and my temps stay consistently within the 70's all the time now...

A couple of weeks is the anser. Joke your looking roughly 50/50 clear cloudy. You can harvest now or in a COUPLE OF WEEKS! Lol, looking nice mate.

I think in a couple OF DAYS I will move a couple of plants into a 36 hour dark spot and then cut a couple of plants a day as i rotate them in. Also will make for manageable trimming sessions. That's today's theory anyway! Grow 2 and 3 are helping me resist the urge to harvest prematurely. Today I FIMmed 4 plants and later today I will be transplanting 6 raging babies from cups to the 3 gallon pots! I wish I could have a greenhouse with, like, 100 plants to obsess with. I would like to grow outside, inside, soil, water, many breeds and wear a straw hat and coveralls. Go to the hoe down on Saturday night!

I cut a Chocolope yesterday. I've accepted that my yields are not going to be what I dreamed when I bought the seeds. After my nute lockout problem I ended up trimming a great many sick leaves on this one, and it was the first to be ready. 3 &1/2 ounces before drying so I'm hoping for an ounce. (I smoked a tiny bud - seems rockin'.) I now have the 3 indicas in the dark. Cutting the LSD tomorrow and the Blue Widow and Wappa on Tuesday. 5 more sativas that I now have on 10/14.
But you should see grow 2 & 3, going like gangbusters! Actually, maybe you will if you want, as maybe I'll do another journal.

A rather underdeveloped Chocolope, cut on day 62. Cut weight: 97.6 grams. Drying now. It is my hope that I will lose less than the customary 75% because the buds already seem relatively tight and dry. I'll know in a few days. The photos are after manicure, getting ready to dry.

Congrats man.. looks great.. I hear you on the training for more tops. I did some LST on my clone and it is well worth the time and effort.

Unfortunately the plant I took the clone off is the same one that gave me all the grief with the deficiencies last time.. she's starting to show the same issues at approximately 5 weeks into flower :(

My 3rd grow will be more exciting and I'll likely start posting again to the site.

Thanks for continuing to share and I'm checking every update!

Are you going to stick with General Organics for your second round? I'm doing my own supersoil mix and only adding nutrients as required.. just tap water (for Ca and Mg)

As I mentioned earlier I see the light on tops. Tops make me hard. I have FIMmed the 4 plants in my 2nd grow. I hope to bend back multiple tops to make more tops. Tops, tops, tops!
