Ivor's first grow journal: Purple Haze

11/05/22

Split a small bag of worm castings between the four plants today, was about 3 cups per plant.
Sprayed plants this evening: 1 gal dehumidifier water + 1/8 tsp x200 aloe powder + 1/2 tsp potassium silicate + 1 tbsp epsom salt.
Split what was left after spraying between the four plants to water the worm castings in a little bit.

Plants looks like they aren't getting proper magnesium and potassium; maybe something else as well but I really don't know, slowly learning how to identify issues. I want to get these ladies into a less stressed state before flipping for flower.

Some updates: Been busy trying not to fail physics undergrad classes so I've been slack on photos and updates

• 11/09: Added 1/4 cup Dr. Earth Home Grown (4-6-3) in the evening, broke up the top layer a little bit to mix it in; soil was perhaps too dry, definitely hydrophobic, I was hoping breaking up the top layer would help. Let the plants dry out a little too long, they were looking rather wilted; been too busy with studies to keep up with lights-out photos.
• 11/10: Watered 1gal/plant mix of dehu water and tap water
  • 1 tbsp/gal Epsom Salt
  • 1/2 tbsp/gal Molasses
  • 1/2 tsp/gal Potassium Silicate
  • 1/8 tsp/gal aloe powder
  • 5ml/gal fishsh!t
• 11/12: Plants perking back up after getting some water; they don't look as good as I would like (of course) but I think overall they aren't doing too bad; they've had some stunted growth: insufficient light for majority of their growth until a few weeks ago, I think I was causing trouble in the soil early on by trying to dial in the pH of the water and in general just being too paranoid about the water...not sure. Can definitely see some lower growth going funky and some of the newer growth got a little stressed when I let them dry out too much recently but overall, maybe not such a big deal.

• 11/13: Soil already feeling dry and containers getting light
• 11/14: Watered 1gal/plant all tap water; been dry here lately so dehu hasn't pulled much.
  • Same water mix as 11/10: so far, the plants seem to like the new water additions and Dr. Earth + worm castings

11/15

Just some photos of the ladies, hope to take some lights out shots tonight when I perhaps give them a foliar snack.

Seeds went into soil on 09/05 so these ladies just turned 71 days old and entered their 10th week.
Not sure if I should flip them into flowering schedule now or wait a bit longer; the net is rather full, and I think I might need some room for tucking and weaving to continue for a few weeks after flipping to 12/12. Sorta just want to flip them and move on haha

Updates:

11/17: started 12/12 lighting schedule

11/20: watered same as 11/10

11/28: watered same mix as 11/10 and added 1/4 cup Dr. Earth Flower Girl per plant.
I was fairly certain I had added flower girl the previous week but this was not written in my notes anywhere so I added it this week and will plan to add every 2 weeks from now pending all the unforseen variables.

12/04: watered with the same mix as 11/10

12/05: 19th day of 12/12; slowly increasing light intensity every two days.
Took some pictures (lights on, people have me scared to photograph flowering plants during lights out for worry of herming the plant...no idea so I won't risk it until I know more)

They are super bushy and in need of some defoliating; I removed some lower sucker branches on the front two plants after these pictures were taken but it's difficult to trim under the scrog on the back two.

I think I'll try to run the net higher next time to allow for more working space underneath.
