hi all

I going to start my Journal from the seeds and see how they turn out.
The plan to grow 4 large plants in soil and flower them under 2 600w hps

super lemon haze.jpg

my veg room is 22" (L) x 18" (w)" x 20"(H) with 6 x 8w t5's

my new veg room.jpg

The room temps was good so i put a glass in the room with a cup upside down over the top for 12 hours.

All the seeds dropped to the bottom of the glass :)

filled 6x 3" peat pots up with soil (verve sowing and cutting compost) made a small hole 1/2" deep and dropped a seed in each pot, the 6th pot is just to hold the other 5 in place ( 6 pots fit snug in my small tray)

There is a 8" gap between the pots and the t5s, may lift the plants if they start to stretch in a weeks time

on Saturday i decided to turn the lights out for an hour and see what the temps and humidity worked out as

The humidity went up to 80% and the temps dropped to 21c
A better temperature and humidity for germinating so I left the lights off.

got up this morning and 5 seedling just breaking the soil :)

so i have placed them on in the bottom of the box and turned the lights on

4 days in veg, plants stretched a little too much, i mess up with the t5's there was too much space between them so i reduced the space down to 1/2" and the 6 x 1ft t5's cover a 12" x 12" space
plants are loving it :)

cut 5 peat pots in half and placed them on top of the pots and filled them with soil to give the plants extra support

here they are

only problem is the leaves are a little twisted, guessing the soil ph may be a little off, but i am sure it will sort it self out in time

yesterday i reported them up in 2ltr pots (x 4 and one in a small pot to give away)

before.jpg

i just topped them and removed the other fan leaves off the plant so each plant has only got 4 fan leaves

in a few day i should have 4 healthy side shoots on each plant

time for an update 14 days in veg

so after removing all the but 4 leaves on each plant and topping them a few days ago lets see how there looking

14 days in veg.jpg

There in 2ltr pots 6.5" wide, so as you can see the largest plant must the 10" wide from the tips of the fan leaves and there looking very healthy and happy.
each of the fan leaves supply's one small shoot with energy to grow and it will take about a week before the shoots are a good size 4-6" long with another set of fan leaves, at this stage i will remove the larger old fan leaves to stop the shoots stretching.

The plant are praying, very healthy happy, removing leaves does no harm if you do it right !

This will give me 6-10 main shoots on each plant, few lengths of bamboo to support the shoots and i going to yield 6-10oz's off each plant (2 plants under 1 600w hps)

before and after.png

In a few days time there should be lots of new shoots growing vertical as there now getting direct light, as they grow i will pull the sides down to keep the canopy level
may have to put the plants under a 250w mh on Sunday and pot them up in there final buckets, veg them for 7-10 days and flower
