JealousGreen's adventure in mycology.. . . . please help

They were dry.. tripped pretty hard. Taking Terrence Mckenna's advice and tripping in absolute darkness and silence. I'm a little apprehensive about doing it with a 6-7 gram dose. But I'll never know what will happen if I don't try it.
 
I find that my sweet spot with mushrooms is around 6-8 grams dry, about an hour and a half of regular tripping then it gets a little crazy, you no longer need your eyes to see....
 
Eat'm wet you wont regret... fresh potency cant be beat imo its much clearer and easier on the stomach

Its a luxury you have from doin it on your own, take advantage! dont dry'm unless you need longterm storage. Fresh ones will keep for 1-2 weeks in a glass or tupperware in the fridge

I had intended to do that, but I saw on another thread that raw mushies would cause more nausea. Is that accurate?

I dunked the cakes for 16 hours after I pulled the others off. When I pulled them out the nexus cake already had one good little pin poking about 4mm out from the side if the cake. I'm sure I pulled the aborts off, so I guess it formed during the soak. Is that normal?

Is my previous assessment as to the nature of the flush accurate? Will a longer soak initiate a better flush, as long as the length of the soak will not cause detriment?
 
you can dunk for about 24 hours on the high end, i do 12-18ish. colonized cakes are not at much risk but a little h2o2 in the water wont hurt a thing and keep em clean and safe. the word is fresh is easier on your stomach, but ive never had issues with either, and i prefer dry to make tea with. and yeah its not uncommon for pins to form during their dunk
 
mushrooms dont digest well, so boiling them, grinding them up, mixing with lemon juice, is all suposed to help you digest them and ease nausea.... I experince nausea reguardless of how they are prepared fresh or dried... but i love them any ways
 
No Darth, this is a sector isolate. I found the one I want in another batch, they don't look as good as these but they go indigo if you so much as look at them - I'll post pics if you want.

oh very nice thats beyond me, dont have petri dishes, and my mini fridge broke so no were to keep them any ways.. those trays are sick to.
 
Good job JealousGreen! I have been trying to get some things started here ever since I saw choempi's "bulk mono tek". I haven't had any luck yet. :( I am starting to think my spore syringes are bad. They froze once and have been in the fridge for 9 or 10 months. Not sure how bad that was. Ooops. I keep trying anyway, at least it's good pratice getting my procedures down better. But it would sure be nice to see some growth. Keep up the good work. And do try to get a clone LC going. I'd love to see you succeed at this. It would give us noobs some hope ;)

They are totally sick.

I admire the work, just like working a bit simpler, agar work needs a level of precision I don't care to exert, hate gb work. I flame and stab clone.

Second flush of the nexus cake is looking nice, 3rd Z flush is kind of small. B+ jar is taking forever to colonize, its been in the cabinet since October. Still no contaminants though so I'm cool. I'll put up some pics tonight or tomorrow.

Probably going to make some shroom tea tonight.. I always trip harder off way less weight when I drink tea. I figure three grams in a tea should be a fairly potent trip.

Been spending lots of time over at Dmt nexus. Reading all the different extraction teks. Things are starting to make sense. The next stage of my psychic journey looms over me like a shadow. Strange bits of synchronicity continually bring Dmt to center stage. I feel like it's calling.

Just did a quick scan of your bulk mono. Very cool. But I don't think you understand, my system is modular, I am running 10 containers with 4 of those trays in each. Substrates for this test batch is straight worm casting. My next pass goes to larger internal containers and a straw worm casting blend. I lost my favorite albino non-sporulating strain a few years ago and am on the hunt for another favorite. I type using spore groups, then sector and then sector again. I finally test the results in a a series of trays - this time 40. I've found what I want so now I will abandon all the others. None of those in the pictures were first flushes. - This was the yeild from that tray.DSCF0972.jpg
