JJ's Marshydro fce 8000 grow

100% with you on that!! Bought a dry tent on its own so I can run multiple strains and not worry about much. You're right, vegging longer doesn't always help with efficiency. I averaged 150 dry with 1 month veg. difference was around 20ish grams with the extra month BUT they weren't clones so really hard to tell for sure.
I like to veg for a certain amount of time to get the base for large nugs. If you pinch then flip I find the buds don't get as thick as a nice mature branch would. I'd rather grow a bunch of donkey dongs. That's where the extra weight comes in

I'm also trying some diff stuff eg microbes, mycorrhizae, and possibly getting into coco to speed up growth in veg. I found with my current run using promix connect really sped my veg time up. Which is right up my alley.

100%!! thicker branches = thicker nuts in theory. I've noticed that now harvesting early gives those dense nugs as well! Many lessons learned XD

I grow with that as well! With GH nutrients. I think we have similar setups hahahah

I use emerald harvest (Lucas formula) it's just rebranded flora series anyways.

Gotcha!! Just finished flora for 2 grows. Testing the 3 part series now. The flora is good, just very chunky (insert dirty joke)
Yes it's chunky indeed. Looking to switch to maxibloom for the fce grow
I just was gifted a whole bumload of emerald harvest to use up so that I am. It's good I guess. I wouldnt necessarily write home about it but it's alright.

Looking forward to the grow JJ! Are your Fruity Pebble OG seeds from Cannaventure? I have some I'd like to pop at some point this year too. Good luck with the new light! I'm going to set up my MH FC-6500 as soon as my current crop finishes.

Thank you!
The fruity pebbles is from scared cut I've been buying up alot of the frosted fruit cake and fruity pebbles X's love that flavour.

Well I got her setup and tested out today! Super easy to setup. Some things I noticed off the bat:
Cords are kinda annoying and I don't like the quick connects. I prefer a single cable no splice connection when running higher power.it would also be nice to have a bar in the middle to hold onto while moving the light into position. Other than that this thing is sweet! Super bright and runs surprisingly cool.
Can't wait to get some plants under itIMG_20220212_160605.jpg

I'm torn guys. Duno what to do. Was thinking to try a coco run but now I'm debating running an organic grow with Gaia green and promix.
It's either
Promix with blumats and gh.
Promix with Gaia green and blumats
Or coco with gh and blumats

I'm leaning away from coco as I don't have the exp with it. I'm running 2 autos in coco to try to get the learning curve straightened out before going into 12 pots.... I have run Gaia numerous times before and have a good grasp on running that way with promix. I know it's ultimately my decision but wondering what you guys are thinking.

Floraflex plugs soaking in some velokelp, hygrozyme and fish sh!t.
Kinda looks like my toilet after tacobell.
Jk. I've never eaten tacobell ever.

Let's have some fun with this one, and I'll show you all the fun stuff I do from cuts to trim.
Step 1 cuttings
Usually I use pure ro water for cuts, but if I want fast ass roots I'll do Remo velokelp, Epsom salts, and fish sh!t soak
10ml/gal velokelp
1 tsp Epsom
1ml fish sh!t
5ml hygrozyme
/Gal of ro.
Ph to 5.7-6.0
Soak plugs for about an hour (few mins is fine)

This is just how I do things. I'm not saying this is the right way or wrong way, just my way. There's a ton of diff methods I'm just sharing mine.

Things you will need
Razor blade
99% iso
Rooting gel (or powder)
Shot glass
Plastic cup
IMG_20220213_113028.jpg

Selecting your cuts:
Try to keep cuts around the same size and stem diameter. This will work better for you and they will root at more or less the same time. Note the area I'm pointing at. Try to cut around 1/2" underneath that node.
IMG_20220213_114045.jpg
Bring your selections to your work table and begin to remove all node growth up till the top 2 nodes.
IMG_20220213_114226.jpgIMG_20220213_114309.jpg
Cut the stem under the node on a 45° angle
If your leaves are big I like to snip them to slow transpiration down. If they're small just leave them.
IMG_20220213_114623.jpg
I like to leave 3 leaves on each cut no more.
Pop them in the cup and let them soak in the rooting gel for a few mins.
IMG_20220213_114340.jpg

Fill up your tray with water (I use ro) this isn't to water them it's just to keep humidity in the dome. Set controller to 75-77°

IMG_20220213_120632.jpg
Don't let the plugs sit in the water. You want them above the water level. Soaked plugs will not make roots.
