Sorry, but from what I've read haven't really seen anything about syringes filled with spore, which is why I'm nervous. I'm not going to use them for the next 12 hours, so is the fridge fine? Thanks for reminding me I need to shake them, I can't believe I forgot about that. xP

do not freeze your spore!!!!!!!!!!! you could ruin your whole syringe. just put them in your room. they need to be room temp to use. you should always shake your syringe before you use it. helps spores move around in syringe and not settle on the sides. also make sure you flame the needle before and after each time you use the syringe. so you open cap, flame needle(i wipe with alcohol wipe to cool and clean black off needle) inoc a hole in jar. flame and wipe needle then go to next hole. make sure room is very clean. make a still air box if you can. it will save you alot of headache later on from contams. mushrooms are very hard to grow. so if you dont want to do it right your just wasting your own time.

Mushrooms aren't hard to grow, weed is. o.0

Anyways the syringe is in a nice 70 F room, it's cold to the touch (the cardboard) so I'm a tad worried.

Also, I put the syringes in a plastic box that I completely sprayed down with Air Wick (didn't wipe it up, the lid too) and then put the syringes in. (Syringes still in the cardboard box)

Only tek I've read is for BRF, or seen. Then again, I don't pay attention to names. There's a four-part one by RogerRabbit I viewed, but none of them work without a pressure cooker (or using several pots). I just read you can use a microwave, but wouldn't that make the water content that's absorbed by the verm into steam? Please help :(
@glShemp: Admittedly I mistook RR for RogerRabbit (don't really pay attention to the flashy graphics) but that was the video I was referring too. I understand the procedure for using and sterilizing a syringe, just not for storing it.

room temp for short storeage and frig for long storeage. i started making prints my first flush, so i had backups if needed. now i have a bunch of prints and dont have to ever worry about ordering that strain again.

My stupid bitch girlfriend fucked up my plans so the Ace Hardware, only fucking place I can get jars, closes at 8pm for some stupid fucking reason. It's 9 miles out of town, but since I can't drive out-of-town without my glasses (I get lost way to easily because of my poor eyesight) and she decided to wait for some fucking fat bitch friend that ended up standing her up anyways to go to the mall... I am fucking pissed. Will have pictures up at 4am on Sunday. (one day...)

The layer between the bottom and my jars.

Aluminum to give my jars an even place. May need to add aluminum to fill in the places so it can be even.

My tools!

Dry verm.

Verm + water.

Verm + water + BRF = Done :D

The jarz, love Ace Hardware !

This is the only part of the job that I actually used cleanliness. I hope that the steam killed off all those bacteria or I'm fucked.

First batch going in. As you can see I didn't have a top that matched the pot so I needed to fill up the sides with aluminum. Didn't work too well... And the jars were cold pretty soon, so may have to do that again.

The remaining.

Instead of trying to seal it with some aluminum I decided to top it off completely. Six jars in there, going to change the aluminum when there's 30 minutes to go to add water.

Just knocked them up, it was horrible. Felt like a bloody virgin xP. I didn't even get to the last one I used up all my spores because my hands are so shaky. Couldn't even get the blocking thing out of the way, had to go upstairs to look on the computer. Took a shower beforehand though, and rubbed the gloves with some disinfectant (not alcohol) and the needle got rubbed down 1-2 times with 70% alcohol scrubs + a burning between every jar. Except two groups of six, which I accidentally kept inoculating without heating the tip. Wore a tight shirt. I'm feeling like 6 will be fine after contams take a few, and 3 I don't think got enough spores. A couple got like 1.5ccs. I'll be better next time. Only thing I'm worried about is where to put them. So far they're on the floor inside a plastic container and next to a heater. (Cold as shit, a house heater not a bought heater.) Any suggestions on placement?

And the last four (least spores) are just out there by themselves next to the heater. Any suggestions on that? I'm worried about the FAE for both of them, which is why I don't want to put them in a closet, but I also heard bad things about placing a jar next to a heat source that isn't surrounding.

I got my first little bits of mycellium. Will post pictures in about 2-3 days, not going to look at them until my semester is over. (12/15/10!!!)
