fuck yeaaa man i just ordered that kit!! so where else can i get a lamp housing and should i get another one from the pet store the heat lamp?? and put 23 watt on each side? and it says on teh bulbs i should use the CFL in lamps with a dimmer control but on the box the lamp came in said if you use CFL bulb you have to have the dimmer all the way on so im confused like i seriously dont want a fire risk so what to do ???

I think as far as housing for your extra CFL's try lowes, worst comes to worst you can make your own fixture with a clamp so you can adjust where the light is, supplies needed could easily be found at lowes, home depot, etc..

you will be fine, now fires, to me, its easier to make your own lil CFL set up, then to buy a bunch of fixtures,

this is a piece of cardboard lines with white paper, its from my current micro cab, so it fits perfectly, but just to give you an idea

i just got an ag and my plant (ak-47) is 4'' tall do i start with the nutes that i orderd.i got floranova grow an bloom it should get here in about 2 days

Not sure what there called either haha, i think its just Y connectors, should be with all the other light supplies, where the single connectors are

with a simple fan you should be fine

Sorry for the lateness of this quote but been offline for a couple of days.
I have that exact same light setup, the flukers dimmer lamp and a 45w GE general purpose CFL.
My light flickers too, I'm not sure if it is because of the dimmer or if it's because its one big CFL? But ever since i put it in, my buds have taken off nicely. I did some research on the light and I believe it is 4400K, but the combination with the AG lights gives a nice spectrum mixture!!
45w=150w means that the light uses only 45w to give off the same amount of light as a 150w. And since lumens don't add up, the 45w is nice for that extra boost of energy:blsmoke: (2700 lumens)
One more thing, I find that the Flukers lamp doesn't get too hot. Durring my 12 hour flowering, I can still leave my hand on the cover.

hell yea man thats cool i was gettin nervous thinkin it was gunna cause a fire haha but yea you clear it up alot for me i think i will be leaving my lights on 24/7 because they are Fem auto flowering but i might do 20 on and 4 off to give my wallet a break haha but does it matter what brand of nutes to get? like gerneral hydro is cheaper than like fox farm will the more expensive nute have better results?

Naw man, i use the General Hydroponics, just as good, i like it better then fox farm, they over price there shit cause everyone uses them

yea cuz i found the trio cheap as sht like 20 bucks for all 3!!! and if i buy it over a site like amazon or some place like that will it come with a feed chart?? mylar is kind aof a rip off what else could i use? my aerogarden is in a wooden cabnet what should i line it with should i just stop being cheap and buy the mylar?haha

haha yea the mylar is worth it, especially if your cab isnt already paintedplat white, so i would get that

and yea man the Gen Hydro is cheap as hell, they do come with a feeding chart, but its just to give you a basic idea,

just start out at 1/4 strength, and work your way up, best way to do it, cause no one really follows it to a point, cause you end up experimenting and you eventually get what works for you

but they have the chart on there website as well

sweeetness okay got everything ordered and all i need is the mylar and we have lift off!! hahah i am goin out of town but will start the germ monday no nutes for the first 2 weeks right???

Yup, no nutes until about 2 weeks, just to be safe, but you can start before if they need it, but we'll see

so when its time to feed the babies some nutes how do i do it? haha like combine all 3 or a certain amount of each one in a row or how? sorry im a total noob

you start off at 1/4 strength, or on the measuring spoons i would use the 1/8th, so get a gallon jug, fill it with water, then use the 1/8th of the flora micro first, mix it around a lil bit, then add the flora grow, and each week as you pleas just up the nutes, you add that soup you just made after you change the rez every week, rinse the base out then pour in the water and nutes, after its mixed make sure you adjust the pH as well, then add into the rez, gentley set the plants bac in and your set

okay sweet whatr about the bloom? do i not add that till they start to bloom?? and okay after i add the nutes into the res, and i check the ph level say its off a bit would i use my ph adjust kit ?? or add more nutes if its low? or do i just stay with the 1/8 serving then go up every 2 weeks?

yea wait until you flower, then before you switch to 12/12 you have to use the micro, grow, and bloom, then after that you stop using the grow and just use the micro and bloom, micro gets mixed in first

if the pH is off use your pH up or down to fix it, but before you add your nutes when you change the rez you have to adjust it to 5.7 anyways, so it shouldn't really be off

just every week you gotta upp the nutes, just experiment and see how much they can take, but just go like 1/8 tbs for two weeks, then go to the 1/4


so each week you only mix up on gallon of nutes when you change the rez, when the water gets low in between that time, just use fresh water and adjust the pH and add into the rez, cause eventually they will drink alot
