Kandy Kush, WW, and pinapple express under 1300watt hps! Rep to all who stop by!

The pics are from just a few mins ago. KK is still looking great but i'm totally worried after finding the spider mites yesterday. I washed her down like crazy when I found them so now it's just a matter of monitoring the situation. I through some pest strips in there to try and help as well. I also bought a 20" box fan and have it blasting cool air from the house directly over the plants and light (which is still dimmed to 600watts). I think I may have put the 2 young WW's under the HID too soon. There is some yellowing and curling on the leaves and I'm quite sure it's heat stress. Thats why I have that fan blowing in there now and it's definately making it cooler under that light now. The bluberry gum sprouted and I put her in soil today. She will be under a cfl untill She gets bigger.

Hey masscom what exactly is your explanation for using the foil around your plants?

nice i'll def be keeping up with this. I have Kandy Kush, pineapple express, blueberry gum, sour cream, and lemon skunk all freebies still as seed. Hope to get started after my autos finish.

Looking good bro f-ing spider mites I had a problem with those b,s the first time I grew soil. Regaurdless looking good

+rep to remi, brains, & quad for droppin by! My only reason for the tin foil around the bottom is just to reflect light back up to the undesides of the leaves. It makes 'em look droopy cause the leaves will kinda curl down sometimes to grow toward the light being reflected up from below them but man do they stay short and stocky as hell. The KK in the pics is only 4" tall and already has tons of shoots growing outta it. The first set of leaves is less than a half inch above the soil. In some places the different levels of branching are a quarter inch or less apart. She's got a fat stock too! I'm wanting to LST her. Won't be long now till she is tall enough to reach the other side of the pot. Also, with the tin foil I can just lift it up and water underneath it keeping the lower leaves safely above the tin foil meaning that my leaves don't get any "burnt" spots on them from getting "nute juice" splashed on them or just from laying in it. My lower leaves are so low they just lay in the dirt which would mean they would be laying in the nute water till it all soaked into the soil. The bottoms of the leaves really love the extra light though. I can't wait to crank that thing up to 1000watts for flowering! She is bigger already. I'll get some new pics up later.

If there is a reason that puting tin foil around the bottom of my plants is bad, please speak up and let me know. I come to this site for the purpose of learning and hopefully I help a few people myself along the way. I've always used the foil though and its had no ill effects that I've ever noticed.

tin foil is a bad reflector to use as it has sharp angles unlike Mylar and those sharp angles point the light instead of reflecting and could burn your plants.

...I would never cover my soil with anything let alone foil, you want your soil to dry out.

So thats gotta be why the first little leaves on my 2 WW's turned yellow and dry. The foil must have burnt them. I was wondering why they were burning because the temp in there is only 80 degrees. I'm going to pull that crap off now. +rep guys! thanx for the info.

Also, my blueberry gum is outta her seed and showing her first two leaves so she will be joining the fun under the HID soon.

I started my LST on the KK today. Also, my 2 lil WW's are looking much better. I added some veging nutes to their water for the first time and watered them without adjusting the ph. It was acidic. I know better than that but anyways thats y my WW's were yellowing. I flushed them and they are looking very happy now. The BBG will be ready to join the others under the HID soon. I'll add new pics later today. Thanx assasin! +rep for feeling my pain. LOL! Damn women! Can't live with them, can't get p#ssy without 'em!

Man what a dfference just 3 days can make! Here are some new pics. The small ones are my 2 WW's that are recovering from my lack of checking their waters ph the first time I added nutes to them (what a rookie mistake!) The big girl is my KK that I started LSTing today. Pics of the BBG will be coming in a couple days when she gets a lil bigger.

I also have some pesticides that I used to treat the mites I found a few days ago. If I find any of those bastards again i'm going strait to the predator bugs to get rid of them. I'm not BS'ing around with 'em. I'll bring out the big guns! LOL

Hell yaaaa I love letting the ladybugs out!!! I sat there once trying to see em at work but didn't see much. But they def did the job

LMAO! I can totally see myself trying to do the same thing. Sitting there stoned, staring at the ladybugs trying to see if I can actually see them eating the mites.

Looking nice man have you figured out whats going on with the droopiness. Are you using perlite? Could the roots be not getting enough air and sitting in soil thats too damp, just a thought. Good luck happy growing.

There is nothing fancy about the soil I'm using. Miracle Grow with Micromax nutes already in the soil. On top of that I'm using Botanicare's Pro Grow and a lil molasses. It's not over-watering cause I let my soil get dry before watering. I started my LST a couple days ago and the leaves seem confused. They are twisting and turning every which away with the shoots from underneath now fighting to pop their heads out so they can become tops themselves. They are doing a good job of finding their way to the light and the leaves are nice and green but they are dry and kinda crispy. Maybe I'm not watering them enough? I'll have some new pics up today and you will be able to better see what I'm talking about. Anyone with advice please chime in. +rep for stopping by John!
