Keeping it Small & Simple!

Hey guys,

Haven't been here in ages and once again I would really appreciate your advice.

I was wondering what is the best way to grow indoor AK47 and keeping it as small as possible? Keep in mind I'm on a very light budget. I know some of you believe it's a waste and ain't worth the time but unfortunately these are my limitations..

On another matter, this might sound utterly moronic but what do you think of using a homemade self watering pot using an old (not too old) sock (or any other piece of cloth) and an empty 1.5L bottle?

best way to keep a plant small is scrog and lst.

LST keep cfls close to foliage, you can use self watering pots but I've found they keep the soil pretty damp and it can get moldy make sure you have a good fan blowing air out of your grow box as well

That would be a cotton sock.. It actually works perfect.. The root system grows beautifully.. The only problem is that the roots are coming out through the sock, but I figure I could just transplant it with the sock later. Or would cause a root-lock?

I heard about these methods. Not sure I got the room for scrogging though. LST sound wicked man, but I'm kinda scared of messing around with my plant, specially since it's my 1st (well actually 2nd) attempt to grow - 1st time ended after 3 weeks and a heatwave!
So what you think should a noob mess around with stuff like that?

Where I live it's pretty much impossible to get proper equipment so I gotta improvise a lot of stuff. That's how I came up with the self-watering sock pot.. Thought it was gonna be a disaster, ended up working like a charm. Problem is I don't know what to do with the roots coming out? I guess it kinda resembles hydrophonic system..


Guys, as I said I don't have the luxury of getting proper equipment, nutes, pH testings and all that.. I know it's bad and a lot of you may think its a waste of time but these are my limitations (can't get these things where I live) and I really wanna successfully grow descent enough bud for me and my friends to smoke..
On that note, any additional advice/suggestion would be as always much appreciated!

Just kidding bro...Do like you did if it worked. Adjust as needed. The wet sock thing has me going but hey, if it works for you then who fucking cares? How big did she get before chop? More info as to what quip you do have will help alot. Post up and Ill do the best to help as will alot of the peeps here...Granted your gonna catch some shit but fuck um...Post up dog...At least your not growing in rice...lol

I'm curious, how are you growing in a sock?

I feel sorry for the poor dope plant. You can prop the sock up with some sticks and stuff I guess.

Just grow outside if you can. Iam on my first grow and there's more to it then just throwing in dirt in a pot or sock and putting a lamp over it. There are people that say its a weed it will but there more to it then that good luck bro.

The thing is, where I live it's very important being extra cautious. Better be safe than sorry..

As I said before I can't get proper equipment and have got to use creativity to improvise stuff..

I would appreciate some constructive suggestions if you got any. A friend of mine told me that he thinks it works as a "semi-hydrophonic system". Not too sure about that, but if anyone knows hydro please do comment..
