Anyone tried using Kessil H150's as side lighting? The 150's seem to be perfect to light up lower shaded foilage. I imagine they'd work well as long as they are not closer than 12".

The trichomes are everywhere on buds, fan leaves and stems. I will make some cannabutter from trim and those frosty leaves for delicous cookies.

Hey kessil users!
Last night on a whim I ordered a really small cheap tent and a purple kessil h150 to start a veg tent
Love the design on kessil lights, they seem really useful and hopefully soon I'll add more. Had a few questions.

The tent I ordered is 1'4"x1'4", which I know is super tiny, I'll probably only be able to keep one 1-gallon pot in there, or like four solo cups. It'll just be nice to have a plant already in veg when I chop down my first round. Was wondering if the purple h150 would be enough to veg by itself for a tent that small?

I was also wondering-I see some growers that turn some red/deep red leds on for a short period before lights out. Would the red kessils work for this?

@borbor - It is enough light but it might be too close. The lights are very intense and they work better at a distance of 20 to 30 inches away. Maybe you can put a hole in the top of the tent and put the end of the light in from there.

Cheers,
Mo

wow really!? thanks for letting me know, the tent I ordered is 3'11", so with 8 inches of soil space, I'd have like a foot to work with as far as plant height, it seems?

Mine ran pretty hot but they were second hand off of ebay and they had a bad fall. @SomeGuy is going to take one apart and see whether he can determine why it stopped working. My H350's both run much cooler.

Hey everyone! I'm now a member of the Kessil club. I've got 4 H350 in Magenta on a spectral carrier and 6 H150 Magenta on goosenecks that I'm going to place 2ft apart along the sides. I really want to add 2 of the PlatinumLED P150s on the ends not covered, I'm still a couple weeks to flip, so I've got a little bit of time. I'll be running these in conjunction with 730nm flower initiator floods - I plan on scaling up to 14/10 for the bulk of flower before dropping down to 11/13 for the last week. I was given some SFV and POG, but I'm not thinking that this POG is going to suit what I'm trying to do. She's so frail, and I'm afraid to get really bendy with her like I can the SFV. Pics to come once I finish assembling the flower room! Right now, vegging under a T5 with 75/25 Blue/Red. I'll be keeping an eye on how everyone else is doing with these, and will start a journal on my next run, when I can follow the procedures I had originally intended. Since these girls were already vegged a bit in small pots, but almost ready to flip, I don't want to take them from 1G to 10G - so my first test run will be in 5Gs - Organic. My soil mix is a mix of Happy Frog and a super soil recipe I found on here; approx 3:1 HF to SS. Wish me luck guys!

The POG is looking really sad after dunking... Had some larvae under the leafs from it's previous home. It will probably bounce back, but she's lookin mighty wimpy right now. The SFV is kicking ass though. Brewing a veg tea to feed them tomorrow, and then flip within about 10 days. I've gotta grab a dehumidifier and a tiny AC (even though I probably won't need it much, better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it). My ambient temp in my basement stays around 70deg with 60% RH, so I'm going to run the lights on for a day to see what it does to the room. Will post more soon!
