They have the ability to do whatever they want really, especially when you subscribe to a GOVERNMENT program. But, what YOU do with it is up to you. It is never smart to text or take pictures of anything you don't want seen on a phone and/or computer. Also, it probably isn't smart to talk openly about illegal activities your involved with on a phone. People have lost their humanity in a way, everyone wants to do everything on a phone. What ever happened to face to face contact? I work as a bartender and its crazy to see people come out in a group and all they do is have their heads in a phone. People put their lives on the internet and I don't care what kind of "privacy settings" you have, people can see your shit. And if you have a government phone... they can more than likely see/hear whatever your doing. So, be cautious.

that is the only way to cut connection is by taking their battery out

I have one of these tracfones,they are convenient.Yes there is info of gps location of the phone checked daily if not hourly.It is a stretch to think that the government is going to spend time to look for you if you are not already on their radar so to speak.No worries here.
