kits vs individual parts, whats best for the wallet?

I planted 5 Blue Dream fem seeds. I vegged them 3 weeks then took 3 clones of each. I grew the moms outside last Spring. I had the clones and moms numbered so that I knew who was who. I picked the best producer and took clones from the 3 clones belonging to her. By that time the clones were nice size and I had more than I could use. You would be surprised how many you can get off an 18 inch plant!
 
I have one 5 x 5 tent now and a 9x9x8 grow room. I also have a closet that I use for vegging my clones and another for my moms. I never let the moms get big. I flower them out when they get 15-18 inches and use one of the clones as the new mom.

18 inches in height? How was width? Bonsai moms seem interesting and fun

Thats cool hopefully I can find a place that'll grant me the space to have set ups like that

The width varies. The ones I just put into flower for this round were about 15 inches wide when put into flower. I actually flowered them for the first 2 weeks under T5's while getting my new room ready. I'm interested to see how that effects the final outcome. So far they look great.

Thats what I noticed and if you took a extra week of veg your yield might be a bit bigger so thats why im just like fuck it photos it is
 
I say get the kit. All the pieces there for you. You won't be disappointed. You don't even need to get a mh bulb. The price is excellent.

On ebay I can get everything for 366 just not to sure on how the ballast quality is but the one in the kit was a cheap ballast to..
