Hi there! You are on the right path. Looks to me, you did not measure each part out equally. Room temp as well maybe too hot. What did you use for jar lids for gas exchange? 4 days is not enough for rice wash. Make it 7days. It should not smell like that

I understand... This video is not even relevant to the process they are asking about. If you scan the video they are showing you a different side of KNF. For 7mins of this video I watched ppl strain plant matter into buckets. This is an added method if you will. And one that doesn't involve getting so dirty or even necessary. I treat my stuff like a lab. making sure the process is correct and end products are correct.

yeh nah i followed cris trum and this dude,
cris trums rice wash was 3days and then 2days in his milk.

after the rice wash with chese cloth, 4days it had done the sweet ferment small and started, it says happens faster in warm climates

add it to the milk and magic starts lol,
i think my milk was a wee bit old, being that i get 20 bottles a week from the cow it was the back end of the week when i used the last milk bottle,

also raw milk doesnt go off it smply seperates into lab on its own, no smell at all i noticed this last year, shop bught gors rancid, my raw milk seperates into 3 layers and has no smell when i pour it away,

maybe i should just skip the rice wash lol, nah i think i entered the milk on its last lacto days as tey do say consume within 4days or cultrures reduce,

i think it alredy started to lab alone, then i added rice wash and interupted the process but fed the backend of the balance
