The damaged one often pop back great, didn`t think there were that many of us, haha. Thanks for the responses guys, girls are already popping back up after their brief training, probably liking the perfect 78.1F they`re sitting in today, cool breeze rocks. Cheers EC, they need to have a toggle for time-outs during posts, I know everytime I post one of those I have to copy and paste, and re-insert pictures ... :wall:. But it`s worth it to make it more appealing to look at as you go through. Want the thread to reference-able for future growers, try to pack as much of my technique into one thread before we start a few more ... (foreshadowing ... ;))

Morning (or afternoon I guess) guys, sad to report I`m turning into a serial-destroyer, one of Mrs. O`s heads snapped itself after cropping (not sure why I tied it down so tight). Hope there`s still some veg left in the ladies to let the two new heads come on out. Also contemplating topping the opposite side for trial purposes to see if there`s weight difference one side to the other, any thoughts?

Anyways, here we are this morning,

... would be Day 9 for all but BuKu sitting in the middle, who`s at Day 2 (came off its 36 hour dark period this morning with the rest of family). BuKu is on one of my Fender pedal boxes for some height gain, is sitting just below canopy now to accomodate some stretch over the next 2-3 days big time. Mrs. O`s missing limb is the area closest to leader, middle of tent, hoping to see two new heads take it`s place within the week.

Bummer about the branch KC, but it happens. Mrs O will bounce back and direct her energy appropriately.

Myco, sounds like you get a time out. Now go outside, smoke a bowl and don't come back until you have changed your perspective bongsmilie . In fact, I think I'll do the same! ;-)

The dark transition I`ve found shaves a couple days off the vegetative growth side and helps induce the flowering process a touch quicker. Typically plants will show sex between 10-14 days after going 12/12, I tend to see sex in about 6-7 days with the dark period beforehand as opposed to without it. We should be done vertical (vegetative) growth by the end of this week / early next week before the blooms really start bursting.

**Edit - Just for reference, the Cataracts and Jill got 30-hour dark period, BuKu got more because I unplugged the lights stoned and didn`t calculate my hours properly, haha. Very most I`ll do is 48 hours typically to prevent severe stunting **

Oh no Ms. O! She'll recover nicely I'm sure, those dark green leaves will help her recover. I agree with the 36 hr preflip dark time. My Blackjack showed pistils at 6 days after I turned the lights off. and full on budset by day 10.

Sometime it`s the small stuff that makes a difference in a day or two eh ;). And you know Mrs. O Stone, she`s a tough broad, haha

oh .. my bad.. why am I thinking about the end of flowering dark period when your not even flowering lol :dunce: .. THAT dark period like kanuck says is to make the flowering come a little quicker ,have no idea why or if it works though.
 
Lol I thought I read it that way t the start too mate, then I remembered he was only just into flowering and it clicked :lol:

Haha, all good mate. We know it works, been playing for a couple years with transitions. Now have every lady showed sex and flowers forming for their first of 2 growth spurts this week (OG18 has a week 2 and week 6 growth surge). Usually would`ve had to wait perhaps until today or later for the pistils to show and the growth to then start redirecting into colas. Skipped it now ;). Thanks for checking in guys, will throw a pic from this morning up as everything has responded and the competition for lead cola has begun ...

I'm going to try the dark period before harvest this round too. Going to shoot for 2-3 days of dark before harvest and see how it works.
 
Shot from this morning, you can see our little BuKu has taken a liking to her new environment, and everything is forming up after cropping and training,
