Finally got my 3rd grow all is well and I will begin flowering tomorrow

  • 4x4 tent
  • 6" duct fan......exhaust
  • tower fan.......for circulation
  • 400watt cmh........6" cool tube......4"axial fan
  • 2 blackstar 240watt led

  • vermisoil

nice man. lets see some pics. have u used the ceramic mh before? im pickin one up next week for my 400 so trying to get some feedback on it. Does it produce much less heat like they say?

first time growing with cmh, but ive heard great things.....and ive never grown with hps so i have no comparison to make as far as heat, but my girls love it

Nice looking setup you have there Kush, I will be along for the ride, sub'd.

What are the temps in your tent? I have a similar setup as you, 2Xs 240 watt Blackstar, 1X 300 watt HTG LED, and 1X 400 watt HPS, and a 5 x 5 tent, my temps are in the low 80s.

Hey Kush on your second BS was there any changes to the panel that are evident, array setup? Looking to pick up my second also for my 4 X 4. I also am running a CMH (waiting on the new bulb) first one preebe failed in a Radiant 6 but I see with the LED's I wish I would have went to a vertical drop tube in the middle for the overhead space surrounded by 4 240 panels would just plain be a knockout punch and possibly would be my perfect setup. IMHO

Gotcha. How far high do you keep your cmh from the plants? It seems in the pics that its kind of high up. (I keep my reg mh about 12 in from tthe tops)

with led only im running at ambient temps....absolutely no change
and with the cmh and led im at 3-5degrees over ambient temps.....so pretty damn good in my opinion

no both led's seem identical to me............and yeah that would definitely be over kill

i keep the cmh about 10"-12" away from the canopy......same with led's.......i just raised the lights to get better pics

Whats up kush looks like you been pretty busy man. The plants look great, great selection of strains as well man. Anyway can't wait to see the buds on these bitches. I love my 240 so far man but im thinking bout scooping up a 500 now. Sleezy had a pretty good grow with his. Anyway man im subbed and ready to see them bitches bud.

thanks brother....im pretty sure this is gone be my most succesful grow yet.....this is actually my first time growing in soil.. i thought it wouldnt be as much fun but i was wrong, its actually pretty damn cool as well
and i absolutely love not having to adjust ph two to three times a day..........its a whooooooole hell of a lot less stressful growing in soil

Man I run the recipe for success by technaflora. I don't have a ph meter or anything but my plants seem to love it. I've got to lemon skunks that I cloned in soil that ima leave in soil though. Im just tired of mixing nute solution and then having to get the airstones, roots, and plant from one container to the other. (I grow dwc)

All sounds good to me. I am really interested in these CMH lights.

You go more for quality over yield, right? I try for both, but quality is #1. I rather have 1/4 LB of stuff I actually like, rather than 1/2 LB of stuff I only kinda like.

Best of luck with this grow Kush, I will be tuning in until the harvest.

hydro with no ph meter....u must have a hell of a green thumb...i would never be able to pull that off.....my ph was all over the place and when left unchecked my girls suffered horribly
i went with dwc the first time, then i tried ebb and flow.....i must say i am a lot i happier growing in soil

well cmh bulb are the closest you can get to true sunlight, so if the sun produces leafier buds than hps you may be correct
but lets not forget the two led's on either side....i think i got plenty of red light

thanks bro, and yes sir i do shoot for quality over quantity
my first grow i chopped early because i couldnt wait....the second grow i chopped early because i had to move to a new place.....this grow will be given all the time necessary, and most importantly i dont have to harvest all at once

Kush whats with the sticky tape? Do you always get bugs? Just asking as I have never seen any as of yet and with the Azamax at regular intervals I was under the impression that they would not show. Also the soil grows I have been reading say to put sand on top of the soil to inhibit the nats are you going to try that? Next Q is did you keep the LED's way up during the veg time as I see lots of space between the nodes as I can not seem to get any stretch during the veg heck I have a Blue Widow that is pushing two weeks and has not risen above two inches but has four nodes. Lot's of thoughts running in the skull cap. Also I have been trying to build a Filter box for the incoming air with interchangeable pre and HEPA filters to eliminate all the possibilities of mites, nats and mold spores is that something that is even necessary or just over the top in trying to get a successfully weighted harvest? Sorry for the Q's but I am trying to learn and you seem to have good like with the ladies being taller than I.

i havent used any azamax as of yet so yes there are a few bugs......havent heard of the sand trick, i may give that a try.....
as far as the spacing, i have noticed that all six strains have length between nodes.....i think it has more to do with the strain than the light distance.....some el capitan og seems to have the shortest distance between nodes with the cinderella '99 being the lengthiest
and for the filters on the intake, idk......may be overkill, but sounds like good preventative measures

I wouldn't say I have a green thumb but im doing pretty good. I live kinda in the country so im probably just lucky enough to have good water. I also never add more nutrient water I just top the res with plain tap water. I try to leave it out sometimes to get the chlorine out but most of the time I forget lol. I've seen a couple of Cinderella 99 grows that were pretty stretched out man but the buds were gorgeous. Oh btw where did you get your tent from?

im in cali so trust me i had options......these were just random strains that i chose

cool...ive never seen, smelled, or come across cinderella '99 until i noticed the clones one day so i had to grab it.....
i dont recall who, but its a 4x4x6.5 with mylar insides, 3 duct ports with drawstrings, 3 meshed ventilation inlets and some nice sturdy zippers....$120 with free shipping on ebay
