is there any way to tell if a bulb is useless. somebody sold me two 175 watt MH lamps. he said the temp was 5500k but this light is intense blue. im thinking 6500 or even 7500k which i think both of those are useless to plants (correct me if im wrong) and then the lamps had this white dust on them. anywho question is i tried using both lamps in the past and the plants didnt seem to respond, i mean ZERO vegetative growth in about 1 1/2 weeks. i went online and bought a 600watt wide spectrum metal halide....but again the light spectrum seems wrong it shining like its a HPS about 2700k. i went online and studied up but it looks as if i hit a brick wall. PS. this really dosent matter cuz i been using the 600watt MH anyway, and their shooting up like their on steroids :D

Tenn-a-key out in Tenn-a-see haha...im from out that way. nice to know someones doing it round here other than me..i feel like a lone wolf at this sometimes...and what the other guy said i dnt like posting pics cuz i think compared to all you guys...i look like a NOOB.....even the first time growers seem like experts to me...somebody HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP :cuss:

I've been growing about 50 year's and I think were all noob's we just don't admit it!! post pic's we would all like to see! My friend in tennnnnnn grow's and he's just learning post's his pic's we all (well most) try to help along the way my friend...easier learning from other's mistake's (dosen't hurt so bad!) and getting different imput is important to understand how you are doing...not just yield but quality! and everyone like's to show how proud you get with "the girl's" and...give's you a way to feel connected with like minded people!! so please post pic's and we can watch your grow too my friend!! Certainly don't feel embarassed if you think any of us haven't had to "drop back ten yard's and punt" your wrong...I've had a few problem's along the way and my grow's were sketckey at first...wishing you the best bud's!....jack

I actually think that term started from the east coast...but I know it was a popular thing to say for a while in late 90s early 2000s. I've lived many different places so end up stealing a little of everybody's slang. No one can guess where I'm from...get NY a lot but never been. Funny thing is I have lived in Tennessee before :)

I like the cfl tote setup too...and probably won't retire it anytime soon! Am so excited about the tent :)

I agree 100%...and you would be surprised what posting your plant and setup specs can do for you...it's always good to get advice and input. Can make the difference between a mediocre grow and something to brag about!

They're looking very nice for two weeks old. I would argue that they're not both the same strain, or they're from a strain that's not particularly stable. But you're right, they do look very different...

I had some Pineapple Chunk recently - all ten seeds grew differently; tall ones, short ones, phat ones and skinny ones, as well as the strong and the weak ones... shame cos it's a very strong a very productive plant.
I don't know a lot about Lemon Skunk, apart from it's very popular at the moment. So it must be doing something good!

Look good frost...are you able to move them closer to the light? They look just a tad stretchy...but they look very healthy! Pretty girls :)

no not the plant haha the pictures are 2 weeks old. the plants are like about 6-7 weeks i think. yea i wish i could get plants that big in 2 weeks lol
