Lao Village Thailand/ Purple rock candy

Every picture has preflowers saying GIRL! I hope you are good with that I know you are looking for a male or 2. Lots of hermies in thai plants so even if female a good chance of seeds.

oh ok cool. Ya I would really like to preserve the Lao strain too so o can keep it as a base stock strain to breed others with.

So it looks like another full week of rain and thunderstorms ahead. The plants should be getting a ton of water., right before the main summer heat. Also good for before the 4th of July to prevent grass fires.

Haha my wife took a pic of me next to my plants. She was asking why are the so BIG? Lol

Stuff is gonna be bomb man I am so psyched for you! Beautiful healthy plants ready for 110 degrees and one of the only strains that will love it that hot. May be 20 feet tall by end of July!

Setup a hammock and just live out there man, Thai mmmmm mmmmm I would be jealous but I got some too! But not the Lao...be careful of the Laotion gangs with weapons on patrol, they dont like strangers

i have noticed with all the rain we have been getting (still) that the Lao Village is just drinking it all up. it dosnt seem to mind a soggy ground. my tomato plants on the other hand are kind of wilty due to to much water in the soil. its not able to vent off the extra water from the leaves due to the extreme humidity. all the cannabis plants though including the Purple rock candy is handling the extreme rain like a trooper. i think i am going to have a bumper crop this year. of cannabis and pumpkins lol
happy halloween!

Thailand has a lot of rainforest and tropical enviro. They are built for what you got, they love it hot and humid. It probably cant rain too much for Sativa like those!

It could get too hot however, if it goes over 100f and you are around, a light misting to cool it in the afternoon (but early enough to still evaporate) will cover all bases.

Ya we still have rain lighting and thunder coming in. The soil is so saturated with water right now it squishes when I walk in the back yard.

Here are pics over the last 3 days. Last time it rained about 2 days ago. Since then has been sunny. I added pics of the tomato plants to show how they wilted from the excessive rain, however the Lao village only has a few yellow leaves but still happy as a clam. The purple rock candy actually has yellow leaves towards the bottom and same with the tomato plants. I am assuming the yellowing is from the excess water diluting the minerals in the soil, causing the plant to used its own stored minerals in the chlorophyll to sustain it.

It finally looks like it’s going on o let up on the rain for a bit, which is a relief. Now hopefully the ground will dry up some. The Lao Village plants are taking like a champ though. I have not seen such a strong resilient strain before. I think Lao village is going to be one of my top 5 go to strains.

So today I came out side and saw one of the lower branches broke due to the storm we had last night. So I took the opportunity today to prune the lower branches of the Lao Village plants. I cut off all the lower branches to create better air flow through the bush’s of plants I have. I hope I didn’t butcher them. However I went with my gut feeling while pruning. I am hoping it’s going to be forcing the bud growth towards the top of the plant. Hopefully all the top branches will be super dense with buds.

so today i came out to the garden, and noticed that 2 Purple rock candy plants (squat rough look indica plants) started to for male pollen sacks.
i quickly removed the plants from the garden. however i am saving the pollen, so i can pollenate one of the female purple rock candy plants to create some more seeds. the purple rock candy plants were 30% THC in the dispensery. and these are the bag seeds from that. it might be hit or miss. but from what i talked with one of hte guys at the dispensery these plants always look rough around the edges. however they have super high potency. i am hoping that they flower and produce great buds early ;-) i am going to freeze the pollen i collected so it can be used later. i still have 9lb hammer pollen laying around in the freezer from last season....

Can someone confirm for me if this is female buds starting to grow, or is this the start of male pollen sacks? I am hoping that it’s female. Note: this is one of the Lao Village clones.

Can someone confirm for me if this is female buds starting to grow, or is this the start of male pollen sacks? I am hoping that it’s female. Note: this is one of the Lao Village clones.
The fourth picture looks ever so slightly male but it is too early to tell. In a week or two it will most likely become more obvious.

I went out and took some more close up pics this morning. It still may be a bit early to tell yet, but I think the Lao village plants are females 8-) what do y’all think?

These are also from the Purple Rock Candy Indica hybrids I have growing. I pulled 2 males, and all the weaker plants, in order to be back under the legal limit. I think these are def female too. For the males I pulled, I took pollen from them and stored it in the freezer.
