lol yep. I had a boarder collie that has passed away this last year. She use to paw at the door handle and would open the door by herself. It use to drive me nuts. She learned the trick from another dog and kept doing it through her whole life lol.

Is it safe to trim off the two single leafs from the bottom of the plant ??
Hi, ya I would consider it safe. Something to think about though since you are growing indoors, once the top part gets long enough, you may want to trim the tip top of the head of the plant and leave some sturdy branches and leaves to grow out sideways. If you are putting it in a tent with a net, it will allow the plant to have many “arms” by which to attach it to the net to do a Scrog/ sea of green grow pattern. For mine as you can see, since I am growing outside, I wanted to see how high (no pun intended) it would grow if I just put a plant in the ground and let it grow. One thing that will help with the lower branches being taken off is it will force the growth energy it was going to spend in making new branches, and rechannel it into growing bigger upper branches closer to the light, and also bigger bud production. I know for myself I am still relatively new at this. (My 3rd season growing weed) but I have had a lot of prior experience growing roses and tomatoes. If you would like to check out a great free site on growing, check out this site: www.growweedeasy.com that and this site is where I have learned almost every thing that I did not learn off my old drug dealing friends in the 80s and 90s lol.

Hi, I know I haven’t posted in here in a few weeks. Here are some pics of the current progress. So far none of the Thai plants have went in to flower at all. Which since this is now august going on September I am thinking it’s not going to produce any flowers. Which sucks. However the indica hybrids are producing (Purple Rock Candy). I also have 1 plant that is the “Momma Thai” (Thai x skunk1) that I planted as an extra is now producing the biggest buds out of 6 flowering plants.

You are definitely running out of time which sucks. There's nothing you can do about it. Light deprivation would have been a good idea but it doesn't look like it was logistically feasible in your situation. I don't think you ever stood a chance of making it to harvest outdoors with that Thai strain where you're at. But you gave it a go. Maybe take some clones and grow indoors over the winter? At least get a sample of it to smoke.

I have the Highland Thai from RSC and I'm definitely going to plan that grow out. Indoors and small plants at flower. You gotta be prepared for these strains that can go 16+ weeks.

I've grown the Mama Thai. That's A Seedsman branded strain isn't it? Not bad at all if it;s the same as what I grew.

Good luck with everything.

Here are some close up pics of the buds from the momma Thai and also the purple rock candy. I think next season I am going to grow some bag seeds I got from some really really excellent smoke I got. Called ghost purple OG. I might just do a tent grow with it to get a to.n of seeds from it and maybe single out a plant or two for general smoke purposes. It smokes like blue dream but is an indica hybrid. I love the stuff.

Here is an update to my 6 plants that are in flower. I had a question as to when would be the best time to harvest. I am worried about pulling the plants too soon and getting waft buds. I am assuming that most people who plant our doors harvest some time in October, is that correct?

here are picsof what they look like now.

Let me know if you spot a plant that looks close to ready to harvest :-) .
On on plant I did harvest a large lower branch in order to take off some of the lower bio-mass to help force the buds closer to the top to fatten up. I am drying the branch now to make some smoke. They still look a little on the waffy side….

One thing I have been doing is periodically (once every 2 to 3 months) is watering the plants with a slurry of molasses diluted in in 5 gallon bucket of water for each budding plant. I read about doing that on the growweedeasy.com site. Hoping to sweeten the buds as they get closer to harvest. I just hope the buds will thicken up enough to have some good smoke….

Those look like they have approximately a month+, mid-October.
Molasses is valuable for feeding the beneficial microbial life in your soil, it does not feed the plants, it feeds the things that feed your plants.
