i know what you mean, your pictures are gorgeous and i think eveything is ok. i think your just making this up. dont worry be happy . maybe not have the lights so close to the plant. i had both light bleaching and a cal mag defiency in coco with hesi procucts recently. My leaves by the buds were super yellow. I made a light adjustment and added a mag cal sup and recovered the plant to full deep green.

yeah i bumped the lights up a notch already just to be sure and im going to flush with florakleen then bump my nutes up again to 1600ppm but this time im going to leave out the kool bloom for now. hopefully that cures it. but apparently i have heard the tops just go a bit pale during stretch anyway so it could be nothing

ok guys so i have just flipped my plant to 12/12 5 days ago. i have noticed today that my new growth is coming through very pale. when i flipped to 12/12 i also started using transition nutes so 1/2 nova grow and 1/2 nova bloom i also added a little koolbloom.

what im wondering is should i have not changed my nutes yet? would the stretch period be considered aggressive growth not transition? if so this is probably just a case of nitrogen deficiency. this plant does like a lot of nitrogen. none of the lower leaves are yellowing at all though just the new shoots.

or could it be possible that i added too much phosphorous in the koolblom causing a iron lockout? as from what i have seen in my research this is very similar to how it looks as well ph is fine and ppms are at about 1400ppm

heres some pics hopefully someone can help

^^^^^^THIS ONE SHOWS IT WELL^^^^^^^

ok so the photos arent great but u can see the centre or apex of the leaves are very pale yellow on the new shoots and the new shoots are just very pale all round.

thanks guys
hahah thats because you flipped them bro they are stretching and the nitrogen cant keep up with the tips,. i read this recentley and it makes sense as i always get yellowing just the same when flipped.
looking great btw.

hi bluezdude, no you shouldnt. plants only have 2 spots enough and too much, i run a low EC only enough to keep it green and healthy, i stopped upping the nutes through the cycle long ago without a difference in yield and quality. hope this helps, peace.

Cheers mate, less is more applies :)

It can confuse the most experienced of growers, the yellowing is as tran stated they stretch way to fast, its just a shaw sight to say ''hi im horny and im about to head =P''

ok so all is well thanks to everyone who helped out with yesterdays panic attack especially tran and laserbrn. turns out it is perfectly natural for the tips to pale a little in stretch i still bumped her up to 1800ppm it really is scary high but she keeps asking for it and there is no sign of stress from it so until i can see a reason not to im going to keep following scottyballs feeding advice. filling out the screen quite well. and i got some 100% female flowers showing now... thank god for that lol

the vk

well there isnt much to this girl at the moment but she is growing. very tight nodes. still only running 150ppm at this stage she isnt asking for any more than that so thats where they will stay for now

geeez this thing is hungry... but she grows so fast. i took a few clones but i have never clones before so fingers crossed they take. im really starting to think i have a genuine freak on my hands based on the facts that she doesnt look like any other buddha i could find anywhere and the fact she would eat the arse out of a low flying duck given the chance im starting to expect big things. all these expensive nutes shes eating better pay off lol

no amb's i cant see the point in topping while using the scrog. i still have an even canopy and as soon as u bend the top over it spreads more auxins to the other branches anyway. plus im still kind of hoping that the original main tip will still produce one extra big bud. heres hoping

aaaahh!!! well training under the scrog is over as of today the branches are just getting too thick. i went to gently pull one of my growth tips under the screen this morning and CRACK!! the whole branch split at the stem and it was one of the biggest and best branches. i have taped it back into place and it didnt come all the way off so im hoping it will be ok but i think from now on she can just grow straight up

well all is good no sign of male flowers. the branch that cracked yesterday hasnt shown any signs of stress and she has leveled out at 1900ppms its been 2 days now and she hasnt asked for any more nutes so thats a bit of a relief. im a bit worried about not training her anymore because i think she still has a fair bit of stretch to go but i really dont want to break any more branches. i have the head room so its not really an issue but its just the screen could have been a little fuller. oh well onwards and upwards lol. it will probably mean some of the smaller branches wont develop as much but i feel that the older thicker branches will get some pretty big buds instead.

the vk

well im starting to like the look of the vk more and more. shes starting to look a lot healthier now her growth is starting to pick up too. roots just reached the res now as well so let the fun begin i think.

Great grow friend. Subbed. One thing about the tin foil, I know some people here swear by it or whatever but I'd say don't use it, specially if you have troubles with your res temps. It acts like a heating pad to the entire Waterfarm basically. I don't understand why people would think this is good for the plant. Just keep the temps down, good air circulation and every so often water the top of the waterfarm hydroton with pure pH'ed water to clear any excess nutrients so the algae does not have food to eat and thus not create. Besides the canopy will act as a shield against the light which btw also contributes to algae growth. Keep your farm clean, fresh and cool and you are good to go friend. Anywho those are my 2 cent, hope it helps. Keep up the good work. :)

oh just thought i would stick a photo of my home made waterfarm in here for everyone to see. my next grow im going to use 4 of these all connected to 1 res. if my buddha clones take i will throw them in and do another buddha grow except i will probably only veg them for a week or 2. the plan is to cut down my veg times by using four waterfarms with the simplicity of 1 res
