Lights turned ALL the way DOWN!
Seems to like that better.
Will I ever be able to crank these HLGs up.

Understood.. but you did ask in the initial post
“What could possible cause leaves to twist like this?”
That question has been answered, tho I’m sure there are other possibilities. However your fan leaves are cupping at the edges, which is usually caused by light intensity or high temps. Leaves will also twist their blades to shy away from the light of its too much.
Here’s one from my last run who was a little sensitive.

I hear you.. It will get used to it. Here is the same top in flower. I haven’t run the strain prior, so I can’t say it hurt yield. She finished off just over 4oz dried I believe.
She didn’t skip a beat from what I experienced. Her leaves still curled up a bit, but she was fine. Give it some time & see if the situation irons itself out for you. I hope it does.
I'll give it a few days. I put the lights all the way at the top of the tent for that reason. Let the plants grow into them.
I'll give them a week and the slowly start bumping up light intensity.
Hopefully I can get to at least half power.

HLG lights are pretty top notch. Almost too good in this situation. The bright tips on the top leaves is a sign of light stress, but could also closely replicate slight nutrient burn . All other leaves below are fine, which would steer me toward blaming light intensity. Awesome power in those leds.

Get a 200x scope and check for russet and broad mites. You should be able to blast that light at full power 24 inches away. Always have your light at 100%. If you feel it's too much hang higher but dont dime it. Most likely a ph or nutrients issue but cover all your bases.
