I just got a couple of these (cw+ww) and cut off the reflectors, they light up really warm and come with little heatsinks and fans inside them.
Pretty good price per watt, if you ask me. I didn't bother going for fancy storebought leds, I went straight for chinese pre-fab.
I might make a thread about them if I get good results, I've got one over some clones and I've got one over a single small flowering plant.

Using the growmau5 code i got 2 vero 29 3 cob kits, with meanwell 2100ma drivers, active cooled heat sink, fan and hanging kit for $418 to my door. $209 each. Pretty good value if you ask me. Nice kits too. And for an added bonus, they grow some pretty got dayum good nugs.

That's entry level.
You can accomplish that with Citizen COBs, save some money to build a legit fixture.

Rapid led. Not trying to get caught in the crossfire though! I crunched ALOT of numbers when buying this setup. I couldve built a better light but not for the initial cost. This was by far the best value i could find, hands down. My buddy has a 4x4 with 3 of these. 2@3000°k and 1@3500°. 780w at the wall lighting a 4x4 for $660, shipped. He forgot to use the discount code.

The other members were right about some of you LED guys being brick-headed jackasses.
At your wattage level you aren't gaining anything notable against the entry level COBs.
You'd have better luck running them at @ 700 mA.
To each his own.
Basically, you could build the same light for less using entry level COBs for your entry level panel.

After getting these I decided three would be the magic number @ 1400 mA passive.
If I could get three actively cooled @ 2100 mA I'd be cooking with bacon grease!
I actually priced my build from several companies, I settled with Tasty because it was the best deal I could find.

Running 4 "entry level" CXM22's 3500k 90 CRI w/ a Meanwell 240h 54b, driven @ 50w a cob, about 7 inches from tops, not giving a fuck!
I promise those bulbs aren't doing as good as the "entries". Lol

With the c @ that drive current you would be at 440w!!!! This would be like yours driven @1050ma. Like i said, i couldve built a better setup, more efficient, better spread using more cobs/quantum boards but wouldve been double the money to do what i was trying to do. I plan on making a rack that will run the perimeter of the tent with passive, low drive current chips as supplemental. Like a spotlight in each corner. To be on the topic of the post, i use cree 8.5 watt bulbs with modified diffusers, i also have 2 of the "100w equivelent", i forget the actual wattage on those. Built for $60, bulbs included. Works for me. Only use as a veg light though. Would need 2.5 of these in each tent to get close to what my cob setups are putting out and that would just be ridiculous. And not as good. And fuck wiring that shit!!! For another $40 i would save myself the agony.
