I'm using this from Wally World for $8: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Lights-of-America-18-Under-Cabinet-Fluorescent-Light/16877468 I sit it right on top of the dome and leave it on 24/7
This works well? Thinking about picking one up tonight, I cut clones last night, will post pics later. I cut a few really tiny ones to see if they will root and cut a few big ones. Giving the plant a week to rest then flipping to flower. Clones are in the dome and will sit in my office with a T5 on top

^ works just fine.

Like I said, it is sitting on the dome which is on your typical propagation tray. Perfect size, plenty of light for cloning but not hot enough to hurt the dome.
Took your advice and picked one up tonight as well, $7.97 at Walmart :-) The clones appear to love it:

A friend of mine used it in half of his plants to have a blind tasting test and I personally disliked the way Bud Candy destroyed the original taste of the strains I experienced it in. It replaced the original sweet-and-sourness by an unnatural bubblegum flavor. I would never use it in strains that already have a nice taste and smell but it could work for strains you don't like the original taste of, but have a rather high or specific cannabinoid content. Lemon haze was one I particularly hated the effect of Bud Candy in.

Thanks for the advice, I think I'll just keep it simple. I am growing for personal use so quality and potency is my main concern.

So I'm excited to flip to flower how necessary is the week wait before flowering? She looks healthy.... anything to watch out for?

I cut the clones on thursday.

Hey bruv. Everything is looking good.

Its necessary if you want it to be necessary. You can flower when you want. :)

She has shown pre-flowers, now the next change will be when you flip to 12/12.

Good luck for the cloning. :)

Haha of course I can flip whenever I'd like. I guess I'm just wondering is there any benefit to waiting a full week after cutting clones? She is due for a feeding tonight, thinking of feeding bloom nutes tonight and swapping the blue CFL for a second red then killing the lights for 24-36 hours and when they come back on having her on 12/12.

Oh right...i get ya. Maybe not a bad idea.....instead of getting half her limbs ripped off and smashed into a new lighting schedule, just let her have a bit of recovery time....then smash her into 12/12! :) Well you havent put a foot wrong thus far.

Why would you have to kill the lights for 24-36 hours?

It was suggested by someone else. Not sure if I am going to do it yet. I guess I'll give her until Thursday, but after that it's going down!

I got the lights plugged into the timer and everything, now I just need to set up the 12/12 program and switch it from on to auto. Pretty soon I'll be :bigjoint: my home grown. Though this Strawberry Sour Diesel I picked up is quite nice :-) [pics over in the smoking on thread] I hope I can achieve this quality

Thanks, this will be my first time flowering, my last try at growing ended shortly after switching to flower. But those problems don't exist in my current location. :-)

Light's out at 7PM tonight. :-) We'll wake up bright and early at 7AM and eat a nice breakfast of a slightly different flavor.

I took some new photos! I swapped out the blue for the red CFL; this is the first time I've used the second red CFL; I just pulled off the cellophane, it's still warming up to full brightness. *note blue CFL is still in some of these photos in case you are wondering, switched it halfway through taking photos.*

With Flash

I'm wondering if she leans Indica or Sativa. Initial growth seemed like wide leaves telling me Indica, but with some of the newer growth the leaves have become slender. Permafrost is a nice hybrid, so I'm assuming this would be as well? What do ya'll think? I know the true test will be the smoke report but from appearance what would you guess?

Great job doing the cloning process. 8 clones will be a nice turn around for the future. Strive for excellence try and produce 8 plants! :)
