I read every page Ace, how does what I said have anything to do with Realstyles lack of facts, rebuttals, arguments, etc.

When questioned all he can say is I have Chinese light that works or I had a horrible accident. This has nothing to do with his avoidance of real questions. Not once did he ever answer a question seriously. His point is he could grow with a Chinese light... Nobody said that you could not grow with a Chinese light, more than several people in fact asked him if he thought he could produce better results with a light that is suppose to be better. In which case all he continued to do is talk about his grow skills, and he has a Chinese light....

Maybe you clearly did not read everything I wrote. The argument at hand is everyone stating how shitty Chinese lights are. That I understood already, Just because they might be considered junk lights or inferior does not mean that they wont work or grow plants, even if for a short while until such issues happen that others have brought up. THAT is not everyone on this thread saying they don't work at all.... They are simply stating that they are inferior, that is a big difference my friend.

THAT leads to me telling him no one ever said that Chinese lights don't work or wont grow anything, several members repeatedly stated that they weren't commenting on the fact that they would grow or produce something. yet, anytime a question was asked he repeatedly stated I have Chinese light, or brought up past accidents... JUST because people say its inferior or junk does not imply they mean it wont grow or produce.

Dude you're lost. Do you even have an LED light? Why are you on here if you don't run LED and you're new to growing. Stop talking you're making yourself sound stupid.

Your a jackass, who can not put together an intellectual comment in response to questioned being asked.. Nobody ever said I was a new grower or that I don't use LEDS.

just for an example. If someone asks you if you think you could do better or yield more with a higher quality LED and your response is I have Chinese LED or you consistently say, I like my Chinese light it does well... That is not answering the question at all.

I never stated that you could not grow, or that Chinese lights will or will not produce. MY comments to you are strictly on your ignorance in responding to others. Yet I am the one who is making myself look stupid?

Of course you didn't say I couldn't grow because this is the first day you posted on this thread. Can you answer my question about owning an LED? I've answered others with I do well with Chinese LED's, you even stated it in this post

So that means I feel it doesn't matter with the one I have because it's kicking the shit out of my 1000w HPS which I sold all 4 Galaxy's. Are you gonna build a light or buy one? Again you must have horrible comprehension, because saying that I have Chinese light is not answering a question when asked if you think you could do better with potentially better or higher quality panels. Thank you mc. Guess what I just did? I just bought 4 Cree CXA3590's from Digi-Key 10 min ago and gonna build me a light with the best COB on the market right now and it's made in China. Now I have to find the right drivers and heatsinks and fans, as well as designing a frame to hold everything together.

I ordered some of those, same seller. @mauricem00 uses them and feels SMD 5730 chips are as efficient or better than the chips in Cree A19 lightbulbs. Not as easy to acquire, no 10-year warranty. I'm happy with the results of the Cree lightbulbs. Not sure how they cool. No fins like the Crees. Hoping they last awhile. But, for $2 a bulb it's hard to go wrong. They're not epi-whatever diodes. But, never know if they're genuine SMD chips or a knockoff made to epi standards. Maurice seems to know what he's doing, so they should be ok.

All lights are effectively "chinese lights" as has been stated before again and again. I think the labels "chinese" and "american" are misleading as almost all leds are manufactured in china.

An easier distinction would be high quality parts and low quality parts.

This thread was originally criticizing chinese JUNK ie low quality parts. Anyone who has stopped using their low quality lamp is probably not going to want to make room in the growspace and fire it up to prove a point. They dont need to. Efficiency is a hard science. Your light's ability to deliver light energy instead of heat energy is not affected by the skill of the grower.

The technology is changing so rapidly i dont fault anyone who wants to avoid paying thru the nose for a "name brand" light that isnt going to hold its value. The low quality lamp will actually grow great cannibas but it is not reliable and if it fails you are S.O.L.

Tl;dr-

Low quality parts will grow as good of cannibas as high quality parts. They will consume more power to do so and they will fail long before the high quality parts. When they fail you will just have to buy a new light.

My last grow was with an Area51 RW-150, XGS-190, Blackstar 180 (120w actual) v2 UV, Apollo 4 clone (130w) with custom spectrum approximating Grow Northern's "rebel" spectrum.

The Blackstar and Apollo did well. It's a little hard to judge yield differences because the plants under these two lights received light from the Area51s. And, less wattage. But, the buds were definitely more airy.

I use the blackstars and find you need a lot more of them to get good density which pretty much defeats the purpose of LEDs which is to be more energy efficient , they also produce a lot more heat than my area 51 panel does probably a by-product of cheaper materials and less efficient chips.
