People......LEDs dont need to be up your plants ass!!!...they do better with some distance

Well that does depend on the lens angle and wattage of the individual LED's. If you are running 1W LED's and 135 degree lens angle they better be parked right on top

My lights have 60 degree lens angle and 3W LED's and I think I have to keep them at least a foot off the canopy.

This pic did look like the light was excessively high......just my $.02

Do you know how much distance your going to keep between your lights & plants?
I'm a total newb to growing but I thought LEDs were supposed to be kept close (like a foot away). I've just emailed richard about this but thought you might already know.
How close are you to being ready BB? Have you chosen a strain(s) yet?

Im hoping to do a test run this weekend all being well, fingers crossed. Ill order the seeds then and start properly. I have decided to go with vanilla kush.

Richard told me 8-10" and he said bleaching wont be a problem.

Some Black Star only Bud Porn heavy hitting and way heavy colas the last small one I tested weighed 14g dried and the twelve that I shared with simply asked is there more. I wonder wht the biggest ones will average?

SO what degree lens is the blackstar using? I have 2 240's and im within 2 weeks of flowering a 2ft by 2ft dutch passion skywalker scrog and 3 soil lsted pineapple express

Mix of 60 and 120 degree lens for penetration and area coverage respectively.

Go ahead and put some points on the board for my PLUMP FROSTY bitches.
Here is my runt plant that i thought wouldn't do much....... It outperformed my other 2 by leaps and bounds now. The first shot is of the side buds that are HUGE and the second is the main cola.

Now my tall girl really filled out with side buds that formed a wonderful chain of bud as well.

My other short lady wasn't a top performer but it made some FROSTY buds none the less.

And here my ladies are chillin like a villain.

I checked my tri's under my 100x today and they aren't even cloudy yet so i honestly think i have around 3 weeks to go on these and they really plumped up over just the last 2 days. I think that 2-3 zips might actually happen with this but I still don't know. All I know is that it smells like cat piss and fruit in there and I LOVE IT!!!! :weed:

i saw a grow get bleached from a 50w led panel i don't think you want them right on top especially when that lil 90w i have made my plant so thick that mold formed in the center bottom

It's not about the total wattage of a panel so much as the individual wattage of the diodes and the lens angle. A Kessil (when they work...lol) is only 36 watts and it would bleach plants too if you put it close but they are 3w diodes with a very focused lens/reflector set up. My Magnums have 119 3 watt LED's and 60 degree lens angle and anything under 12" starts to bleach the plants. I've also seen 300 watt panels that have 288 1W LED's and 135 degree lens angle and I'm betting you could have them 4" off the plants with no problems.

No Dunit I just sampled one bud from the outside edge which I didn't take pic's phone was screwed up. The last cola I trimmed was dried for 4 days and started out bigger than my fist and weighed like 14.3 dried very dense had to use a razor blade to cut it thin to get it to burn to sticky. I never was able to get clones to fill all six slots as I was in too much of a hurry to get things rolling. I have two main plants and a dink third in there and I pulled from the dink twice now. Purly for research. LOL Boy I wish I knew the chemist as that guy/gal sure has done something right.

Not sure if my link droped but the sample was oh 6-8" around and maybe 10 inches long looked like a half liter water bottle. I think there are 14 or so colas like that and a bunch more playing catch-up. Maybe I should count them when I am wiring them up for support the next time I am admiring them. Phone sucks at taking pic's I cant see squat just reach in and hope it takes a picture of something.
