Thats nuts man...way too much money, for the same amount of money you can get 1100 watts of haight, 1400 watts of 357 magnums, 420W of kessil (which is powerful light), 1800W of ISIS, and last but not least 2750W of blackstar. All proven companies. Not that you would need that much, but just to give you a price comparison. Most of those companies would work with you as well for that amount of money...

First time poster... I'm considering buying (5)-98w panels for around 3K. Has anyone had experience with this manufacturers products? The price would suggest they are of a higher quality, but I'd love some second opinions

These are not the best LED's out there, especially considering a MJ grow. Your going to have to up your price range should you want to go with that...Most replacements for 100W HPS are going to be into the 70 to 100 pound range.

If you are looking for a good cheap light here is a 100W LED from a company that I have bought from a couple of times. Good stuff, never have used this model, just the larger ones. But for a 100W HPS replacement, this should give you a bit more kick for the same wattage. Should be 100 pound, possibly a touch less (from the US) and they have European cords if you ask...I would just verify that they have the cords for that model.

Hey guys/girls, this is my 2nd grow im doing now. currently i have two seedlings veg'in under a shitty 100w HPS lamp, which i want to change i have been looking into all the various light fitting's and stuff and came across this LED light. ive heard mixed feed back about LED's but any feedback would be great please check it out.
Cheers

Yeah man, 90 - 100W ufos are not really enough to cut the cheese in the flowering stage for more than 1 plant, if that.

I agree with Hudson as to the quality of these lights, however I would only use the one he suggests as a light to keep a mother plant alive, or as a fill light. For a grow I wold buy a higher power one from the same company.

I use 90watt UFO for seedlings through vegging my plants before I use the 400hps for flowering and then switch back to the led last couple of weeks for extra resin production

Hello all. Just looking for past experience as I'm curious what size of effective footprint people are seeing out of their grow lights.
I have a 260w I use for vegging and a 550w for flower I picked up from hydroponics hut. Both really nice lights and wondering if anyone had any experience with the 550 or something similar. It uses 135° angle and the 260w uses 90°.

I plan on short, bushy plants and was thinking a 5'x5' area and would appreciate any input

I will be growing in a grow tent and do nt know what size to get for the 1 light as I plan on doing 600w hps vs 550w led in same size tent, same clones and same nutes

Thanks in advance

I would just shell out the money for the 240, it has a UV spectrum that is really necessary for trich production, most UFO's dont offer that. I'd off 240 bucks for the 240, 1$ a watt and see if they bite.

i think i might call and haggle and see if i can get these to for $500 flat
both have a make best offer so... can't hurt

now all i need is a light mover. Panel on top and the ufo on the side angled downslightly attatch to a light mover and maybe be able to 10 full plants. Love it.
I am running a grow with two 357 Magnums. The link is in my sig. They aren't as cheap as Blackstar but they are way cheaper than Stealth. IMHO Stealth actually uses CREE leds and Blackstar doesn't. I know I'll probably start a fight saying that but I'm totally 100% behind the move to LED's but so tired of the B.S and knock-offs that give them a bad name. I have asked the question on numerous threads and no one has been able to answer......the new CREE XP-E series led's start at $3.43 a piece WHOLESALE if you but them in lots of 10,000. I used to work in commercial electronics manufacturing and checked out some prices myself to get some straight facts. If Blackstar is using 80 x 3W Cree led's then the cost alone would be over $270 not including the case, fans, power supplies or PROFIT. Also Cree doesn't make an LED in the far-red spectrum (660nm) which I think is important and Stealth Grow uses and they are the biggest and most reputable name in LED's. That is why I don't think they are using ALL CREE LED's. This is just a hunch but I suspect that at best they are putting in 3W CREE for their white lights (so probably a handful in their panel) and the rest are not. Either way I felt that there was enough doubt that I'd rather spend $700 and get what I want than $300 to get ripped-off.

As for ordering off the internet, that's how I got my 357's. The actually have a real shopping cart with a merchant account, not PayPal, so that didn't hurt their credibility with me :-)

I bough the 357 because I wanted actual 3W leds not to be confused with 3Watt/3 chipsets which are just 3 1 watt diodes packed into a single housing.

To get penetration WHICH IS WHAT LED'S HAVE BEEN LACKING you need to get hi-power LED's. Just running more 1watt leds won't cut it. There are lots of 300W panels out there with 288 1W leds. If you want to grow minature plants or lettuce I'm sure they'll work fine :-)

BTW there is a guy on here LedBudBuy who just grew with all 170W ISIS panels which has the same parent company as my 357's. They are under $400 so might be a good option if you are looking for a quality light in that price range. He pulled just over 27 oz off 24 short plants under 5x170W or 850W of ISIS panels. .9g per watt. Definately respectable off little plants in dirt.

go to nirvanas website they are not stocking any autos at all anymore because they have had problems with them. Nirvanas autos have tended to be bunksties. That is why they are all out of stock maybe you got one of the funny ones. Some people had no problems though.

I dont believe they claim to use all cree led's just some, but anyway I use a blackstar and it kick ass. Also I have a question for you, how exactly did u verify that your 357 magnum light has cree led's. Cause from what it sounds your saying if the blackstar led's were more exensive than you would somehow for some reason feel more secure with your purchase....hilarious......the economy is crashing and americans still wanna give their money away.

Let me guess.....you buy the most expensive bottled water too

By the way, $1400 worth of blackstar lighting would make your 357 magnum look like pea shooter

And as far as packing led's into a single housing.....yeah may wanna checkout kessil lighting.....i heard they kick ass too
