I don't project yields, or meaure harvests...don't relate to my plants that way...so, won't know precisely. There's plenty of nice, tight (not huge) buds from basically a 30w grow, though (I did boost the last week or two with 23w induction.).

I'm fairly amazed. First Auto, too...and they're a bit tricky. Next round will be better, I'm sure, but there's no turning back from LEDs for me, and that's what this go was all about. If I hadn't had the setbacks, it might've been phenomenal. I'll let you know how it smokes...a week to go.
You don't weigh your results? Don't want to give your plants performance anxiety? Just kidding amigo and it is hard to hold it against you that you don't buy into the competitive culture that kills the fun in so many things.

Happy smokin :-)

Irishboy is swapping in all his 300w(total 360old model 395 new) growledhydro lights for their lower 180 (well new 2011 is 240w total) so he can have twice as many lights for the money (more coverage). I plan on getting two 240w models unless that heat is too much (I doubt it if they really put out 80% less heat than HIDs) for my space. Here is a page with some features/stats on his new 2011 models http://www.420magazine.com/forums/journals-progress/132192-irish-boys-480w-720w-grow-led-hydro-land-clovers-49.html
After watching what LedBudGuy pulled off a bunch of 170W ISIS, and he wasn't even that happy with the results, I can understand the move to more lights and more crosslighting. Can't wait to see how his next round does.

Would anyone know if I should put my air pump outside of the room if I introduce CO2??
Your air pump is to run bubblers/air stones? You want it where you have the coolest temps and most oxygen. Gonna guess that's outside of the room. I live in a cold climate and I used to bring in outside air for my air pump (when I ran buckets) but that's a bit manic :-)

Not saying it's for everybody...it's just my way.

The hanging Kessil and the 1ft min distance from foliage will take care of most of 20". So, whatever room is left is what you'll have to grow with. A short space isn't well suited to Kessils. Get some decent flat panels, or something.

Time for a little update on my LED grow. I am now on day 9 after flipping to 12/12 and the plants are growing almost too fast. They are just beginning to show gender with 6 ladies and 2 males out of 30 plants. As a refresher they are under 2 240W blackstars and a 300W chinese panel. Also have a few cfls going for heat. Will be adding 2 kessil Magenta lights as soon as they arrive which may be as early as tommorow. The leaves are humungous so it is hard to appreciate that most of the plants are about 18" tall.IMG_1667.jpgIMG_1674.jpgIMG_1666.jpgIMG_1673.jpgIMG_1672.jpg

Is that the chineese panel throwing a lot of white light? Where did you get it? I've got 18" plants under LED's and about 10 days ahead of your schedule so we are pretty close so I'll have to check in from time to time. What size pots are you in? I only repotted to 2.5 gallon a couple days ago and you're stalks are way thicker so thinking I need to get into bigger pots sooner next round.

I was gonna say you'll be seriously overcrowded but once you pull the males should be all good.

Healthy looking grow amigo :-)

dude those leaves do look jurassic sweet jesus anyway man im growing 10 plants in 2 gallon grow bags i got a 300w chinese panel and gonna buy a 240w blackstar this week what type of blackstar do you think I should get to get the most out of my grow a flower one or a grow one with the bright white cree leds..... or do they have a mix spectrum one for both flower and veg ..... anyway just want to know im growing in like a 3 by 6 area black and white poly just want to get the best yields from whatever blackstar i get ....... thanks
It is going well so far. The white is from the cree white LEDs in the blackstars. The thick stems may just be genetics.

I am anything but an expert with LEDs, learning as I go. The Blackstar Vegg LEDs are incredible for vegg, no doubt. They should also be great for flower but only give about 50% of the red spectra the flower specific panels do. For the best flowers supplentary red light is needed. Originally I thought a 300W red Chinese panel I have used in 1 other grow would be sufficient. Now I am not so sure due to the size of area i will be covering because the plants are bigger than anticipated. So I am adding 2 kessil Magenta lights. That is the flower specific model for kessil and should carry about a quarter of my grow area. The remainder will hopefully get ample enough light for a great flower cycle with the existing panels which have are rated a combined 780W. The use of the vegg panels in flower would be questioned by many but the more balanced spectra including UV and blue is supposed to help produce denser more potent buds. Only time will tell.

IMHO 2 blackstar 240 watt panels would will be stretching it thin for a full 3 x 6 grow. Perfect for a 4x3'. You could always supplement with some CFLs placed in relatively dim areas to compensate if you pack the grow area. Regardless you will get a good crop if the plants are healthy and the genetics are top notch. If you have T5s presently you may want to stick with the flowering model of the blackstars. My approach is definitely experimental in the flower phase.

Sorry just notice you have a 300W chinese. Still the same condiderations but with 1 added 240 3x 4 with no supplemental lighting is more realistic than 3 x 6.

Well i wanna say its actually probably 3x5 more or less but yeah. So that should be sufficient you think ? i got great genetics from DNA Genetics Kandy Kush and Sleestack ... im growing 10 plants in 2 gallon grow bags. So I guess im gonna go with the flowering model because I have the plants under the 300w chinese led panel right now and there growing really great and fast under it....
