LED VS HPS, What's the best route for lighting

Do you use the IR light simultaneously with regular grow light?
And, so sorry, I can’t see your original post about your amazing grow at this moment, but did you say you use LED?

Go to timber grow lights they have what you need, or if you are a diyer rapid led sells kits also. Cobs are old school now it seems so probably want to go with a board. If you are looking to spend some bucks on top end stuff get some magnolias from Timber.

I recommend a large hat, long sleeve sun shirt and gloves. I say this after having a basal cell carcinoma taken off my face earlier this summer. Pretty sure my over zealous garden tending while using a 315 cmh in a tent was the culprit.
Im sorry to hear that & I hope you heal up and comeback stronger than ever. I see why we should act like we are Gardening outside and take the same precautions. Outdoor gardeners most likely have the same issues I'd still rather have a fixture that is closest to the sun, it makes sense why the ladies seem so happy when they go from led to LEC. I use a 630w LEC CMH so I have double the intensity. Very noteworthy that if ya care about your vision and health then we need to take precautions.

HPS is more expensive to run and higher maintenance (change bulbs yearly)
LED is less expensive to run and no maintenance

HPS is hotter too, this could be beneficial if your needing to heat your grow space with alternative means to reach 75 °F.

If you don't have problems with heat and are trying to save money on power then go with LED, if you have problems with cold temperatures run HPS or try both and figure out which one works for you.

It's not as easy as LED IS BETTER or HPS IS BETTER!
