i got a several things from china without problems....apart from the wait - 3wk-4wk average, could be they don't like Spain ?, but i don't use registered mail, i think it attracts customs folk to start nosing about the packages causing more delay.
Yeah usually it takes 3-4 weeks, never had any problems with China before. Anyway, those Will linked are €13 shipped, which is too good to pass...so even if they take very long it's a good deal so I will buy from them, won't get them cheaper I think.

Yeah when light is more intensive, it's more intensive... :)

But in all seriousness, of course penetration ability is nothing else than a result of light intensity. (ie: photon density that a light emits)

Well, diffuse light is better than hard, and I'd be curious about a high light with a tight beam. Even if that's not practical at least an argument could be made for better penetration as distance increases and footprint remains the same.

But basically, yeah. More light is more light.

And all that is accomplished with lenses.

Just a note about Viewing Angles of certain optics(lens or reflector)...The majority, if not all, are expressed in FWHM(full width half maximum...50% of peak intensity at "xº" ). It's not the entire emitted pattern of the optic or source.
Same for LEDs...FWHM.

You mean things get brighter when there is more light?

thats not an argument thats physics (assuming same canopy PPFD, farther distance = more "penetration" (i hate that term))

Cobs won't penetrate much either until you get the amperage up there. 2 amps plus.
And that post has absolutely nothing to do with lenses. I'm talking about COBS themselves penetrating canopy at higher amperages. Did I hurt your feelings cause you spent thousands of dollars on components worth maybe $1500? Boo hoo. I can't believe you tried to dig up some stupid bull shit. Anyone here will agree, Maximizers are a fuckin joke.

I must have struck a nerve, I didn't dig it up, it is a post on this page lol. I quoted it because it is stupid as fuck. Just like your blurples in your profile.

My cree xp-es? Ya bro. Stupid AS FUCK. @Growmau5 must be too then huh? & @Hybridway and @Big smo too?
Uh,oh! Eco vs. Johnson

To bad we'll never know
Everything is white. White floors, white walls, white ceiling. Its a 10x16 area and i have 2 rows that are 4x16 the other 2 feet is a walkway down the middle. How about 18 inches above the canopy with the lens. Or how about a mixture of lens and no lens.
Sounds like you've got a sweet room going up! Congrats! Building your room can be pretty exciting! Many choices to be made.

I saw you have a walk isle. Your going to like using lenses. They keep the light where you want it & are very directional, preventing light from spilling to much into your walkway.
I'd say you're looking to use lenses on the shorter plants & a mix of reflectors & lenses on the taller ones. They sell enhanced lights that give the option to do both.
Just remove the lens & your reflector is already there. No messing around w/ installing reflectors while your lights hanging.
I run rooms too. It's a bit differant then a tent, not all the same rules apply!
Good luck!

The competition is taking the Johnson Grow Lights Maximizer very seriously indeed.

That you're dismissing one of the best single panel HPS replacement fixtures currently on the market tells me a lot more about your lack of design skills and judgment than about COB LED lighting.

Pffft. It's 8 cxb3590's. Big fuckin whoop. You're arrogance to call me out and claim the maximizer as "one of the best HPS replacements" is comical.
