rolling stone list of the top 100 guitarists ever...
Seems to me that the only people who listen to what Rolling Stone has to say are people who don't have their own taste. The fact that they ripped on Exile on Main Street, Zep, Hendrix (and now they call him #1!!!). I have more musical taste in my left nut than their entire staff, past AND present (well, except maybe Dr Gonzo !!)
Clapton was above both Chuck Berry and Robert Johnson ?
David Gilmour is down at 82 ?
Cobain rated higher than Carlos Santana AND Jeff Beck ?
Seriously ?.....
Nuff said about that wannabee rag.
I'm sorry guys, but I'm still not on board with Adam Jones being a great guitarist. The bass takes the lead the majority of the time and leave the guitar either making ambience or playing some sort of rhythm in the background in TOOL's music. Any Dillinger Escape Plan, or ISIS fans in here? Pelican, Boris, Cult of Luna, Buried Inside. Check some of these bands out TOOL fans. You'll see TOOL is not alone in the realm of well-thought out music and albums, and the love needs to be spread around.
anyone mention jerry garcia???
eric wilson of sublime. best bass player hands down
