Light airy buds - what to do?

It also looks like you're harvesting early. Especially in that last photo.
Looks like an early harvest paired with not enough light
The last picture is of a strawberry cheesecake auto which had a fair share of issues in the soil. Both plants ran about 17-18 weeks, all leaves yellowed and dried up on the SC auto so I chopped it.
The 2nd picture is the one that turned out best, ran long at 18 weeks as well.

Oh wait 22” deep, I swapped Y and Z axes ...
you want like 400 to 600 watts truevoutput in there.
I usually run two plants so it doesn’t take up the whole 5’ of width. I’ll look to upgrade lights for sure
when i grew with HPS my buds always looked like yours. I know some people get amazing results with it but i could never manage the heat. Switched to quantum boards and my nug is denser than ever.
had the same problem, leaves were getting fried and ran out of space to raise the light.. in thinking of looking at those, HLG maybe?

If you need some direction on HLG stuff let us know and well be happy to get you some options that would work well for your space.
If you can spend $200-300 on a good setup now youll be done worrying about it and heat isnt much of an issue with them.

That’s about exactly my budget.. maybe 200-250 ideally.
Any suggestions very much appreciated.

Skim through the assembly part of this video. If youre comfortable doing that assembly, I can get you a parts list of what to order from HLG and amazon to put it together to do it even cheaper than the hlg kits. I would get a light for just flower in mind.

I did watch it and I don’t have any experience in electrical wiring but I’m sure I could figure it out if I had to.
Roughly how much would it save me to assemble the qbs versus just buying the complete kit?
Also, do you think if I bought the HLG 100 v2 4000k model and ran it with the blurple for veg and with the HPS 150 for flower it would be sufficient to improve bud quality ?

The HLG outputs 95w and the blurple 102w which would put me at about 22.2watts/sq.ft. for veg..
With the HLG and HPS it would be about 27.6watts/sq.ft. for flower.
That’s if I use the whole square footage too, usually don’t.

If you think there’s a better option in that range lmk.
