light cycle and germination

I presoaked my seeds with papertowel and they began to show the white tip. I put them in soil and growing for a week at 18/6. I've not seen any growth at all can I swith to 24/0? Should I keep dark for a a few days? What should I do? My grow setup is posted here as pc vs grow cab.

I don't think it matters if they pop they pop keep them warm.

Watered and lights still on... I don't get it. I'm worried because not one popped. Its been almost a week, 2 different bag seeds. Should I look through the soil and look or ? Any advice?

how deep did you put them?

Just 1/4 inch in soil. Watering spray just the top soil so its moist. If I didn't germinate long enough would it still take this long?

i dont bother to germinate seeds at all before i put em in the soil and usually see em pop up after 3-5 days. so i dont think thats the problem. might as well super carefully dig down a bit and see what is going on.

Dug them out carefully. They are in the same state they were in when I put them in. So I placed all the seeds back to a plate with papertowel, warm water and added some more fresh seeds to the plate. I was using schultz premium planting soil plus 0.08-0.12-0.08.

I was also using a nice air intake and outake. I was using 5 cfl 28 watt (100 equiv) in grow cab. I watered top soil just so it was dark and moist. Temp was always 30. Any ideas?
