Light Leaking in Tent -- Seeking Advice

Currently I am in growing in the vegetation stage and when my tent is all closed up, I am getting light leaking from the zipper, which goes all around the front of the tent. I know that light leaking out will mean that light will leak in when I get to the flower stage.

Does anyone have a similar problem with their tent? I could use some advice on how to cover that up and still have access to the inside of my tent...Thanks in advance.

sounds like you bought a "bargin" tent, sorry to say but sometimes you get what you pay for!

best tip, put the tent in a corner or something and then drape a blanket over the front. + a dark room/closet will also help

You can attach some velcro (hook side) on the inside of the tent behind and to the side of the zipper. Then get some reflective material (mylar or other) and adhere the loop side to it. This will prevent the light from pentrating the zipper ... inside and out. Think of a winter jacket with that little flap behind the zipper to prevent the cold from sneaking past. Works for lighting as well. Hope this helps.

Maybe a piece of poly and drape it over. That sucks it didn't come with a flap to cover the zipper. How's your sewing skills? I'd have my girl make my own flap get some velcro and your good to go. Don't mean to be captain hindsight but this is why its so much easier making your own tent with poly and some 2x2's this way you have supports where you need them according to the room via fans and mounts. Cheaper, efficient, and built for your room.
