When hanging your hid lights how close do you want to hang them to each other for optimal coverage??
Depends on the wattage of the bulb and desired watts per sq. ft.
I hang my 1ks about 5 ft apart and my 600s 3-4 ft apart.

Keep in mind this is bulb to bulb, not edge of reflector to edge of reflector.....
Not what I meant. Say a 1k covers a 5 x 5 area and you have 2 bulbs. put the bulbs or the center of the reflector 5 feet apart. don't put the reflectors 5 feet apart.
They'll be overlapping for plants near the edges cause footcandles are stackable. That's why I said you could probably get away with having them a little further apart when running 2 lights in a row. If the footprint of a 1000w light is 5x5 that is the optimal lighting footprint. Plants outside of that are still getting diminished light. Get diminished light from 2 sources and you are getting optimal light. Make sense?
hahah ok I felt a little like a blonde when the light goes on with that one.
Depends on the temp remember 86f is about the limit for optimal conditions.
86? I thought anything over 80 was too much
