light spread for two 3x3 tents

Yeah there are lots of ways to add red diodes to an existing COB set-up. To be honest though COBs do amazing by themselves and the benefits of added red isn't anything game changing in my opinion, but why not?
As long as you have an appropriate heatsink running them that hard should not be an issue. I think the rapid LED heatsinks do up to 80w so 36*2.1 should be okay. I would recommend though that you use an infrared thermometer to test operating temperature of your COBs and heatsinks to make sure everything is well within spec. They're cheap on amazon.

That is what I have read about root excelurator too. However, I can't be sure. Hard to find solid information on their products but they work for me so I keep using them.

I haven't had to spray a pesticide in flower for a while, but a couple runs back I had two-spotted mites brought in from clones. I sprayed them with Green Cleaner and it seemed to work really well. The only pesticides I use in flower are essential oils which suffocate the insects, rather than anything with an "active ingredient". Even then i use them more during "the stretch" than flower. Up until about day 15. Some other ones I hear good things about besides Green Cleaner are Purecrop1 and 86 Mites and Mold. They have things like clove oil, soybean oil, corn oil, which to me seems more palatable to smoke than Neem, Spinosad or Pyrethrin. I wouldn't want to spray anything on the buds though so I would say 2nd week of flower would be the cutoff, even for these more mild pesticides.

You have a great day too!
I will consider adding some reds then, did you tried infra reds?
Heatsinks will be active, arctic 64 plus, from the package I read they should do to 100 w hope they will suffice, what is your opinion, somebody said here that they were not anywehere near hot when driving them more or 2100ma
I will surely will try each one of the cobs after assembly with thermometer, good point. Would I need optics on the chips for the usage in the tent or they are not needed and used only in rooms?
I read some thread here where guy was giving out alternative or recipe or something as replacement for root exelurator which basically was working for him the same.

Do you use your special blend of essential oils? Maybe in flowering spraying the room or tent with that and even outside can keep the mites away, not sure
I would rather make precautions for the pest to avoid spraying anything on buds in flower too, It really can fuck up the whole product, even the neem
Wish you a snazzy weekend :)

hey guys just want to update this thread, If I would paint a room with highly reflective paint and the room is quite short in the height, would I need reflectors? or does it count as a tent?

I would like to make the very best DIY light I can make. I have 3 HLG600-54 drivers powering 24 CXM22 COBs. Would swapping out 8 COBS for 4 QB96 boards be value added? I’d have to build on to my frame for the heat sinks. The COBS, however, are water cooled to save on room AC and heat sink costs!

I think you'd be better off keeping your COBs as they are, but adding some 630/660 red strips (like HLG's QB11). Hang a couple between each row of COBs and get more even dispersement of red than you'd get by just slapping four QB96s up there.
