600 watt switchable mh/hps light would work great! but even 400 but i don't know if they make a switchable that small, probably tho.

Every digital ballast I've seen is switchable. 400W should be enough.

Ive got a 250w for a closet space about 2x2 feet. I was able to put 6 plants in but you could easily fit a 400w in it also depends if your going to have heat problems then I would go for a 250w

I use 2 90W UFO LED's , replaces a 400W HPS + the lower electric costs and no heat. each light covers 3x3 or 9 square feet. I run dual Bubbletronics setups one for each unit. LED can be expensive but if you know a good wholesale company that uses brand name LED's it works out. The UFO is about the size of a frisbee and is plug and play so no special ballast or whatever. Just throwing some info out there lmk what you think.

im gonna watch out for that journal....ive heard mixed reviews on leds and cannabis....great for veg but i heard that the buds they yeild are sub par
yo my man, ild say go with a 400 watt hps and exhaust the air with a small duct fan...fuck that switchable ballast bullshit because u can purchase mh conversion bulbs for hps ballast and vice versa....check out plantlightinghydroponics.com for great deals....u only need something that powerful for the bloom stages, u can veg your plants up with a simple compact fluorescent light with a cool spectrum (6500k) and save up to buy a kick ass hps when it is time for flower

Leds have the right spectrum but they don't have the canopy penetrating power of a HPS.

I might agree but my buddy runs the same system i am startign to run and he yielded as much as he did with hps but higher resin amounts.

Well be sure to post your results. I've never seen a LED grow that outperformed a HPS. What did you pay for those UFO's?
