Lighting qeustion!

I have a 2x4 tent and it's 84 inches tall, I run two 300 watt mars hydro lights as side lights and a Mars Hydro TS1000 as main light. Tru wattage is 414 watts. The 300 watt mars are 132 watts each and the TS1000 is 150 watts. Is it overkill?

Are the 300's blurples?

I run 8 cobs @ 40 watts in the same size tent.. Keep them above 20".. Not overkill!

imma have to agree with Dan. Not overkill, just raise the light. Do you have a way to measure the light so you can figure out how high to set them? Are they dimmable?

If they are quality LEDs I don't seen any reason to need more than 300watts in that space. If they are COBs, blurples, or cheap boards, you might need more. Honestly I think 250watts of quality LED is totally enough in a 2x4.

I run 4 cxb3070's at 50 watts each in a 2x2 scrog..would like sidelighting but not going to..i get between 4 and 8 ounces each harvest

Sounds about right, but you could do the same with 75% or less of the wattage using quantum boards.

Yes they are not thr TS1000. I keep blurples about 18 and the 1000 watt is 20 inches above
