Lighting required for 2x2m Growtent

2 600 watt bulbs can give you 88000 lumen's per bulb x 2 = 176000 lumen's. 1 1000 watt hortilux puts out 140000 lumen's. 600 watters = 146.666 lumen's per watt. 1000 watters = 140.000 lumen's per watt. Its pretty much a wash.

Ya no probs I have a couple of 600 s going now in my attic. If you can put em in cool tubes with a 340 CFM fan you can touch the glass. I think you can spread the light out a little better in a smaller grow with the 2 lights and you get about 30000 more lumens over 1 1000 watter. I do love my 1000 watters though.

no, they shouldn't. should always be able to cool your lights. An 8" valuline fan would probably cool 4 600w lights in any space.

and yes, more light is better... better spread, plus if you use tubes you can just have them sittin in the middle grow a lattice of trees in a tent that big.

I Love 1000Watters :) But honestly i have been thinking of giving it up for 2 X 600W. 600W HPS puts out more Lumens Per Watt than any other light..
Ive seen plenty of growers that run a room of 4 X 600W and grow some muthaf*cka of trees.
As for me man i reside in Oz.
 
Does your 1000watt'r eat your power?? I have been advised that 600 is the way to go, even before i started growing with 400's.
I'd say parts of oz would be primo to grow outdoors, as long as you keep up with the watering...?? Done any???
 
Ive grown small plants outdoors (backyard), but i never considered myself a grower then.. just planted the bagseed & was happy to get any bud off em.. Lol.
As for the light.. Id say it uses about 1000W of power every hr, lol.. I dont know any other way to put it, lol.

Power here is about 19c/KW so with all the fans n pumps along with the light, im looking at a good $4.50 a day to veg n $3.00 a day 2 bloom.. Bout $600 a cycle. Tho B grade weed here is still costing $300 an oz, so if i get 2 oz i save myself money..
 
hey there im from victoria in oz l have a 2x2x2 grow tent and l use 2 x 1000 mh they dont affect the power bill much lget kick ass yeilds in my grow room l veg 5 weeks then flower 7 l nearly pull a pound a plant happy days

Thats awesome dude. How many plants do u run on an average and is this 5 week veg from clone im guessing?
