2 600 watt bulbs can give you 88000 lumen's per bulb x 2 = 176000 lumen's. 1 1000 watt hortilux puts out 140000 lumen's. 600 watters = 146.666 lumen's per watt. 1000 watters = 140.000 lumen's per watt. Its pretty much a wash.
Hi. I currently own a 2m x 2m x 2m high grow tent and only using 2x 400 watt HPS lights with 7 plants. I am wanting to upgrade to a more effective light source either 2x 600 watt HPS lights or maybe even 1x 1000watt HPS... I don't want to be paying a fortune for power (obviously) but compromising is definitely the key here, so if more power x better light = bigger yield then its worth it for me. What would you recommend for lighting out of HPS 600 & 1000, and how many would i require for a tent this size to achieve max yield? (ps. I only use HPS, not considering at any other type of lighting) I am looking at doing 8 or so plants in some fairly large pots, possibly a small sea of green... Cheers![]()
