Little Stunty Tight Noded Plant

Hey Hustler. I seem to have something similar going on. I have 4 Purple Kush babies at about 3 1/2 weeks from breaking soil and I think they are some Bushy shit. I was planning on topping before LST but seriously, there is nothing to top, the top is SO TIGHT. Have a look and see if we are in the same boat.
Peace, I am subbed and will be interested in what you and others have to say about the whole subject.

I would top those beauties about a week to a week and a half before flowering, give it enough time for new growth... With the right lighting you should get two massive colas for the price of one!

This is just advice I can give based on extensive research not experience! Much love and good luck!

What I did was moved the cfl's about 1 foot away from the top of the plant. That from what I have seen will make the plants stretch and then you can move the lights back down when they stretch to your likeing. 2 of my plants stretched 4-6 inches and then I just now bent them over with zip ties since she wants to do her own thing and sprout stems from the base or her roots. I figure ill keep her top bent over and then when the side growth gets big ill use those as clones. I think I want to lolli-pop my plants so that I can keep the leaves off the ground and eliminate the pop-corn buds I got last year. I had side growth that got barely any sun. The side shoots had 6 inches of nothing from the main stem and then puff of leaves at the top. It was a waste of bud. But yea move those lights and get her to stretch..then move them back and she will tighten up :-)

I decided to get 2 lbs of dry ice and fog my plants to see if that will help them any...I noticed before I fogged them that one of the tops of my plants is looking like its growing taco's.. the whole top set of leaves are folding into its self like a " V " or a taco...Ive heard that this is either the lights are too close or humidity is too low. The humidity is 30% relatively and the lights are about 6 inches away. I turned the lights on them and one was in the dark looking like this but when I had the lights on last night they were fine..nutrients is all I can imagine..any ideas what nutrient would the plants be deficient in?...im giving them fish emulsion tonight to green them up a bit but other than that give me your idea's..

thanks :-)
sometimes new growth just grows like that..after it fully grows out it should look normal..happens to me alot and i keep my 400w 10-16inches aways from the tops

I decided to bend over the plants to allow the cfl's to hit the side shoots so that they can develop. I took some plastic zip-ties and I bent the top of the plants so that the top is facing the ground. This will allow for the octosin to go to the side branches so that they believe that they are the top of the plant ha ha..I am going to use them as clones because as I have witnessed, side shoots suck and they never really develop well so I am allowing them to pop up and get big so that I can make them into plants.

Magnesium..u dont just get a MG def. from under-feeding it MG u can get one from to much MG..tap water has a lot of TDS's in it which include calcium and magnesium and if you have hard-water u probably got alot of MG and calcium, maybe to much..its hard to say if u dont know ur PPM, EC or TDS levels..but that MG from organicare that i told u to get is organic so its hard to over feed and one application would take care of your problem if it is a lack of MG

Yeah, that's what I have done. I have my lights about 10 - 12 inched from the tops right now and have been that way for a couple of days. They seem to be stretching a little, I will likely need to water tomorrow so I think I may start tying them down while they are moist. I just hope I can get some more separation between the top and the second node because as it sits right now, there is not enough stem in between those 2 spots to top it. Time may make some difference, I hope :)
Thanks for the advice Man

The leaves grow into the soil so I have to keep cutting the huge fan leaves off that block the side growth..ill try that out but im sure it'll turn into a mess of leaves and ill have branches that get no sun which is no bueno ha ha..once I have a week under my belt ill flip the stalk over to allow the other side to pop up and then go from there..maybe i can zig-zag it like bamboo ha ha
