living soil, co2, and water chiller

yes, correct. and I think its good to ph, doesn't hurt as long as you use an organic ph adjuster

Organic pH adjusters. lol How much extra do they charge for that scam?

Do not use chilled water in any kind of soil grow. Biological activity slows as the temperature drops and tho that may be a trick to use near the end of flowering you want your soil to be on the warm side. Organics are useless to the plants without the bio-herd breaking it down into compounds it can eat. The same kind of compounds that come in bottles non-organic growers use.

In soil 75 - 80F is about the perfect soil temp where 65 - 68 is what you want in a sterile hydro system as that helps prevent bad bacteria from growing in there causing root rot. Even if your room temp is 90F the soil will always stay cooler than that due to evaporation and teh bugs could handle 90 OK I should think.

What I think would be an interesting experiment to try would be to put some flexible air bubblers for aquariums near the bottom of some pots and blow some air into the root zone. Say 15min every couple of hours. I already have an airstone and 50W aquarium heater in my 5gal water jug full of RO water and plug them in an hour or more before I plant to water the plants.
