Looking for a good ALL-DAY smoke...

Well Hi There! I am hoping some of the fine guys and girls here have the right advice for me. What I am looking for is a strain that is positively brimming with good flavour, but has a MILD high, preferably a gentle 'headband' or 'cortex massage' kind of high.

I'm getting too old for this hardcore smoke going around. Things like the OG's and so on really have been teaching me a lesson of late. I like to smoke from breakfast already, and most of what I can get my hands on tries to send me to bed by lunchtime already, then I have to eat like a beast to get energy back.

Any and all advice very welcome. But it HAS to have a nice taste. That is what I dig most in a smoke, some fruit or fuel or candy flavour, anything that tickles the palate :)

I hear Jillybean is a great daytime smoke, and tasty as well. Not too overpowering. I'm growing one, but haven't finished it yet.

I am a BIG fan of Shanti Baba's work. I actually have a SSH bean in rockwool as we speak!

BTW, have you read Howard Marks' book, Mr Nice? It is one of the coolest reads ever, half of it at least MUST be made up, story of a UK weed smuggler. VERY charismatic writer, immensely enjoyable read. My first seeds ever were from Mr Nice just because of his book.

He also compiled a bunch of incredibly entertaining short stories, Dope Stories, follows the history of getting high from before Christ to modern day. Also an excellent read!

Is SSH a mild high? I haven't smoked it, but SLH is STRONG. it is also rather spacy and foggy, which I wouldn't want out of a daytime smoke. Maybe that come from the Lemon Skunk half though.

Good choice for thoe who dont find the haze taste tiring after a few days, which i do imo. However i wa so happy to see it here cause i had forgotten about this strain! What a top smoke!

I have to go with my current three buds in my smoke any-time tash: Channel + by Medical seeds (my true all time favourite similar to critical bilbo but better overall) ; Ultra Sour by THSeeds (A slightly maybe heavier stone but still good for all day everyday) and finally Buddah's Sister by Soma (just too well balanced not to be at some point someone's anytime weed).

However if you are more sativa kind of guy I would make different choices definetly would I have some Sage and Sour, Kali Mist and one of my the sativas i find most interesting in smell Chocolope.

lemony citrus, just like you were asking for. Most lemony of the lemon hazes and lemon skunks and lemon kushs.

Know you said fruity, this is the one you want.

Thanks for reminding me... SOMA SEEDS SOMANGO!! Yum yum yum... His prices are double anybody else's though... The SSH isn't exactly mild, but nothing in comparison to OG Kush. Some really solid recommendations here thanks everybody, looks like i'll put a nice big order in ;)

That Channel+ is good for daytime? I always think of indicas as evening smokes, but I haven't grown as many indica doms as sativas. I do have Channel+ in my seed stash.

I've heard only good things about Buddha's Sister. Just a question, isn't Blue Dream a clone-only strain? Chocolope we grew out was pretty STRONG. We did the DNA Genetics one, not too sure if somebody else has it. But the Chocolope and L.A confidential, both of them absolute WINNERS for taste and smell!!!
The L.A tastes so good I doubt it matters if it's strong or mild, it is simply irresistible and taking a toke too many is almost a guarantee if it's me puffing on it...

I second Jillybean from TGA. Ive grown it, an allthough it did put out a few nanners during my grow, this smoke is so good for daytime up and happy get-things-done business. Not too strong, but strong enough, you know what im saying. And did i say happy? Ive never really noticed mood-change in weed before, i mean, ive become anti-social, thoughtful, paranoid, etc, if that counts as mood, but ive never before this plant noticed after two tokes that, "wow...im really really happy".
Love it. Sadly its gone & i didnt keep a cut, but i will try Bodhis "prayer tower" and see if its the same kind of high before i order any more.
