LSD thought loops

2 experiences with loops. one was on lucy and the other was with weed, believe it or not lol (i wasnt the one looping on the weed. just an observer). the one on lucy was very educational. i was trying to find an answer about myself. i was struggling with this complex that i have. i didn't want to accept it to the point where i thought i would hemorrhage my brain lol. towards the end of the trip, i realized that this was who i was. i believe to this day that i can change, but i have to make a constant conscious effort to do so. what do you guys think? do you think people can change? that was the main question i struggled with. i think we can, but its very difficult to do so. i also believe that the majority of population do not change. "the masses of men die in silent despair"

this second experience was actually quite entertaining ^^. i was having a smoke sesh in a group of 4 people, me included. somehow during that same week, i got dragged into 3 different discussions on religion. i fucking hate talking about religion lol, especially when its used as an ice breaker lol. that and politics.. after that week, i realized that religious arguments tend to have a looping effect that is similar to psychadelics. one of my closer friend in the group was playing devils advocate with the 2 other people (for fun). telling them that the idea of religion was a joke. the other 2 were very defensive about their religious beliefs. they didnt seem very knowledgeable on the subject. the concluding argument that they proposed was of course "faith". then i would say "i guess we'll never know, at least until after we die". then my friend would play a little more devils advocate (he would shoot me this slight grin). the same argument took place again which ended with "faith" from their side and then me screaming"guess we'll never know... etc etc". this happened a total of four time. by the end my friend was laughing hysterically, i was amused/annoyed, and the other 2 were still looping on religion. for me, i dont care if theres a god or not. i have better things to think about like if i want subway or the carne asada tacos.. or beef ribs mm. chipotle. wait wait hogies!

When I start looping they only way to break it is to go on a journey, I usually only trip at festivals that's why I call it a journey because you never know what will happen at a festival, you come across some strange things. If I don't do that I just keep looping, feel like I lost something so I check my pockets, have a smoke, go in my tent make sure everything is there....repeat.

I find if I am going for the higher dosages of psychedelics, pushing the envelope, I am better doing it alone. Any real negative effects I get from trips; loops, paranoia etc, seem to manifest from social interaction.

You know jedi, you could be on to something.

Maybe the loop is the last vestiges of awareness of your ego. These loops do tend to be very ego centric, and terrifying to the observer. Prompting one to get out and seek refuge. Can be traumatizing to fight it and equally so to go with it.

I also tend to voyage alone, or only with extremely close friends. I have a history of avoidant personality disorder since childhood, undiagnosed but highly probably, so doing anything that makes me 'fragile' is best avoid in populated situations. Liquor or dilaudid always helps.

I have yet to acid trip, friends have offered but i feel as though i am still coming to terms with myself and understanding my capabilities, some may rush experiences and many are had prematurely (IMO) we all develop in our own time and discovering the answers to our journey can sometimes be a devastating experience or an enlightening one. every path is different and at times we have company with us on the path we choose to follow.

Yes but most people are not excited to do it the first time. Most people are afraid.. You need to almost push yourself on this one, because it really changes your perspective on life and you dont want to be 50 years old and regret not opening your mind when you really needed it.

Its very similar to a near death experience in the way it changes you. You appreciate a lot of stuff a lot more and enjoy life more. It makes your brain just another part of the universe and your conciousness can enjoy the ride.

Time more then most of the loops i feel i can relate to your experience above most.

When i ate 1200ug of needlepoint at once i looped soooo bad. I felt like my ego had been completely shattered, i felt so embarrassed, and was all by myself for the first few hours of the trip... Like you, i felt so alone, thought life wasnt ever going to be the same, at one point i completely forgot i ate dose. If i had a gun there isnt a doubt in my mind that i wouldnt have ended it. As was said, it was just to real! The thing that really deterred me from pulling myself out of the loop was the fact that i couldnt really walk, was blind, and sound was echoing like i had never experienced before. The fact of being alone and not being able to focus on music, a movie, or talk to anyone really weighs heavy on you when your mind.. In fact, id say you feel completely trapped.

I can honestly say that i learned more from this single experience then any other experience i had ever had. During that time i was becoming very complacent with sobriety eating dose 1-2 times a week, getting drunk all the time, and pretty much just looking to escape sobriety. There is nothing that will truly allow you to appreciate the sober mind then thinking you are perma fried.

Glad to hear your sister came TIME, seriously id quit my job to go help a friend looping. Seriously anyone that has ever truly looped knows how traumatic it can actually be...

In that particular moment, you try to escape any coinciding thoughts. its difficult when reoccuring thoughts flashflood your brains ability to focus on a new topic. And its importance seems much more so on LSD. As if there is an alternative meaning to the looped concern.

First of all, I get thought loops with Shrooms pretty bad, not LSD, not even at that dose. But it really depends. In the long run it might be better to answer the question, but at the same time, theres no need to have an intire trip dedicated to answering it. Unless you wanted to of course..
Do you know of it? The it as in the reason for looping kinda thing? Desperately looking for people who know of the IT I speak of. I need to answer it i feel it is my purpose.
